  • They did it once again!
Size: 10 Color: Burgundy
I don’t know how Cole Haan does it but these shoes are so worth the rice. The shine is high gloss as usual and the fit is true to size.

  • Great Tassel Loafer at a Great Price
Size: 13 Color: Burgundy
High quality leather shoe at a terrific price. I have worn Cole Haan loafers for years. I have narrow feet and the regular size fits me well.

  • Great shoe, but fits too big/ large
Size: 13 Color: Burgundy
Great shoe, love Cole Hahn - a long time customer. However, this shoe fits is a little larger than expected. I wear and ordered a size 13. This feels like a 13 1/2.

  • 20 years of wearing these Cole Haan shoes and I can tell you the differences!
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
I have been purchasing and wearing Cole Haan Pinched Tassel shoes for 20 years, I always get 10.5E for a wider width and these shoes are the same as I have always purchased directly from Cole Haan. Having said that, I will say these shoes I purchased are the "older" style of soles, these are all leather uppers and soles, the "newer" Cole Haan Pinched Tassell shoes I have purchased over the past 3 years, have a half rubber front sole and half leather heel sole which gives better grip on the streets, carpets, tile, sidewalks, etc. A few reviewers said these shoes are slippery on the bottom soles, that "IS" correct, the older style, which is what these are, do slip slide and you must rough them up in the beginning. I put my new shoes on and go out to my sidewalk and kind of do the twist motion on them a few times. This roughs the all leather soles up enough so they don't slip and slide. If you don't rough the bottom soles up, you are in for a fall somewhere in your future, either on carpet or even on the street. Rough the bottom soles up first and you will be good to go. These shoes fit the same as all my other Cole Haan shoes I have purchased, there is nothing different, at least to me, about the size of these shoes compared to others I have purchased, the 10.5E always fits as do these. Cole Haan probably had enough calls about people slipping with the all leather soles that they changed them to half rubber soles for better grip, which is a lot better in my opinion. However, to get the "newer" shoes, I'd have to pay $70 more than these through Cole Haan, I can do a lot of roughing up of the all leather soles for $70 and having had both the all leather soles and half leather half rubber soles, I can tell you for me, they wear the same, neither pair last longer or shorter than the other. I also use Cole Haan restoration services. Those services come with the new rubber half soles and they cost $95 to restore the soles and I have to also pay for shipping, so for the price of "brand new" shoes, I'll stick with these and just watch my step! ;>) These shoes are a great price! The least I've paid for Cole Haan over the past 20 years has been about $100 so these are a great buy! I love these shoes, I wear them everyday, all day. I'm a sales representative going from one office to another and I love Cole Haan shoes, except for my tennis shoes, Cole Haan are the only shoes I have worn for work for the past 20 years, very satisfied with my purchase at an excellent 1995 price tag ;>) ... show more

  • Rant Alert
Size: 9 Color: Burgundy
This is an amateur review written by someone who doesn't have an extensive experience in branded dress shoes. I have owned and wore a few pair of affordable and reasonably comfortable leather dress shoes. And I have been curious about some of the brands and why they are good. Yes I have not tried John Lobb or Edward Green. If someone has, I'd appreciate if you can tell me if the John Lobb experience fits the description below., so I can safe the trouble in trying those brands for good. I brought this pair because of the look. Yeah they look just like in pictures, shiny Burgundy, exactly the way I wanted. The first pair was far too tight and the sole feel like stone. The leather feels stiff, which is fine. So I returned and read a few reviews about "break-in," thought I should give another try. So I got a second pair half a size larger. After they arrived, I put them on walking around my home. After a few hours, the leather part has been tamed to the shape of my feet, but the sole still feels like walking on concrete. And it is very slippery when the leather sole hits the wooden floor. I wear them out of my home after about 3 nights of indoor break-in. The sole is unbelievably slippery on every kind of surface: wooden, rubber, marble and even carpet! I literally felt like skiing everywhere I went. The only places they don't slip are rough pedestrian walks and gravel path. The sole is still hard like steel that hurts my sesamoid bones so bad. I walked less than 1 mile in a period of about 6 hours and I can't believe how the back section is rubbing against my skin! And not that I have been wearing thin socks; I wear fairly thick socks and they can not mitigate the fiction. The attachments show how damaging they have done to my heels in just a little stretch of walk. I can feel that I won't be able to run or exercise in a few weeks, and does Cole Haan compensates? I have not wore anything so torturing for god knows how long. Those who can endure through the break-in must be masochist, otherwise I really don't know what they have been wearing to say this could be comfortable after break-in. The break-in is impossible for me as an average guy with above average pain tolerance, that I don't feel whatever benefit come after it is worth expecting. They hurt me so bad that I went in a moment of zen while walking, and I can now understand the damage high heels have done to women. I understand that so called "quality" dress shoes prioritize durability over comfort. But if any shoes are so unbearable, does it matter that it last a decade. I'd much prefer a comfortable pair that do not require break-in and last only a year or two. ... show more
