  • Its dynamat without a label ! Saves sooo much $$
I drive a 1997 lexus es300 and I recently added a nice sound system (well nice in my opinion for the money) Pioneer AVH-X4500BT, Crescendo Audio PWX 6 mid bass in the front doors, morel coaxials for the rear doors, sundown 8 inch in stock location (with modification to use a box that goes in the trunk instead of freeairing the sub). All doors are being powered with a 4 channel amp, and a monoblock for the sub. Well...after installing this system I noticed my extremely quiet "LEXUS" was no longer...well lexus quiet. I was about to purchase some dynamat for my whole car, but I stumbled upon an EXO video on youtube and noticed he used an item very similar to this with GREAT result. I was very hesitant because a lot of people on forums were saying it would melt and smell badly because it is "roof flashing" afterall....well I have had this installed for quite awhile now and It has NOT smelled a single day and hasnt melted AT ALL ! I live in Alabama and in the summer it can reach to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit...so thats saying something. When checking with a DB meter my interior has dropped around 9 db after 3 layers of this product to virtually ALL surfaces of the car. 9 db may not sound like a lot but trust me ! it is a remarkable difference...dont listen to those dynamat slaves that say it doesnt work and it smells, melts, etc etc. IT WORKS ! You may have to put atleast 2 layers for the same results, but it takes no time and it saved me a little over $400 doing it this way ! I purchased 8 rolls for 3 layers on virtually all locations of my car ! Hope you enjoy it ! ... show more

  • Was great for the job!
This worked very well for our shed's roof. I just hope they have an 8 or 10 inch wide for our patio

  • Works for sound deadening
The media could not be loaded. Used this stuff for sound deadening my 70 vw bug. I used almost 2 rolls of this stuff to do the luggage compartment and floor pans and front kick panels. I still have about maybe 3 ft left after doing all that. One word of advice I would give is use a heat gun for about 10 seconds on each piece before laying down. This allows the sticky part to get even tackier kinda like sticky asphalt and it will stick so much better. I might have to buy more to do the roof before I install the headliner. ... show more

  • How easy the product was to install.
What I liked about this item was how easy it was to apply. I used this product on my metal roof edges and seams. I'm giving this product 5 stars because so far the product is holding up to the extreme heat in South Texas. The quality of this product appears very good. I say this because after application of this product, on my roof, my roof has yet to leak in all the area's I applied it. Therefore, I recommend this product and if needed, I'll buy it again! ... show more

  • Know How to Apply
The tape has a waterproof surface and an adhesive surface. It has a 6" width which fits well with shingles, especially if layering is desired. The adhesive side is questionable. There are gaps all down the edges and areas where it simply does not stick, even on prepped asphalt shingles. If using a long strip this is a problem as what stick really does, it cannot be lifted to remove that section. I did learn that if you find a good Silicone roofing caulk, smooth the edges even with the tape and roof, then spray with a good liquid rubber, this makes a complete durable bond and looks nice on the roof. I have used many feet of it and am satisfied now, but do not depend on a complete seal without extra products application. ... show more

  • Fixed the job the roofer did NOT do!
I used a Long Island roofer who didn't care enough to do this part. It cost me a lot to learn of his lack of quality but when I did, I researched and found this. I installed it myself and no more water! SO FAR. I hope it lasts for many years but I expect over time it will come off. For the cost and effort, well worth it. ... show more

  • Great for sound proofing.
I've been upgrading my sound system in my car and decided to buy the sound proofing material that the audio websites sell. When I got the two sheets (that were discounted), I was a bit disappointed at how small they were. I read a review that said the alternative is to buy products for weather proofing your house. After watching several videos on youtube, a couple of the youtubers used this product. The price on Amazon is much better than local stores so I gave it a try.It is EXACTLY the same stuff as the audio places sell (only renamed). I just finished lining my front doors. I totally notice a different in the diminshed sound of the cars passing me. I have a little left over to probably do one rear door. I'll buy another roll to do the 2nd rear door and the floor of my hatch when I install the amp. If I'm feeling really productive later on, I may remove my seats, pull up the carpet and do the floor. We'll wait and see when the rest of the car is completely lined. ... show more
