  • Better than before, but there are too many shades of white tubs.
If you think you have a white tub, think again and do not assume there’s only one shade of white. There’s many shades of white tubs. Unfortunately, this kit does not come with any additives to slightly alter the color, the paint is a bright white. My tub is 28 years old and ever since we moved in it has had a chip the previous owners hid and I didn’t notice until after we had closed on the house. For the most part, my chip is in an inconspicuous place. The chip is hidden by the toilet and the shower curtain. I’m probably the only one who knows it’s there and it’s irked me for over 18 years. Over the past few days, I’ve been adding thin coats of this tub and tile paint. I started by taking a razor blade and scraping off the touch up paint the previous owners had put on the chip many years ago. I then applied several thin coats of this "white" paint to the tub chip. It’s very translucent and requires several coats of paint. Unfortunately, it’s more white than my white tub, but again because it’s in an inconspicuous place it’s not very noticeable and it’s better than looking at a black chip on a white tub. I am happy with the outcome but I wish there was some additive so you could add to change the color of the touchup paint. Just be aware if you’re doing this in an obvious spot, unless your sink or tub is super bright white this paint is gonna be brighter than the white enamel on the tub. At the end of the day, the after picture looks better than the before picture. For less than $10, I was able to make my large chip less obvious. It did come with instructions, which were helpful. Matching the color is probably impossible so be aware the white wont match. Pick the less of two evils. ... show more

  • May be too bright white for old sinks
I ordered this paint to fix some chips on an old 1920’s sink that was reglazed (painted) about 25 years ago. As you can see from the first two pictures, the chips are an ugly rust color and very noticeable. I was excited to try this paint out to see if I could restore my old sink again. Included in the package are easy to follow directions. I shook the paint for about a minute and then applied one coat to the damaged areas. After a waiting few days to use, I took pictures to show the sink after the paint application. As you can see in the last picture, the spots are still visible since they are a bright white and don’t exactly match the color of this particular sink. However, it looks much better and unless you look closely, the chips are hardly noticeable now. I think this paint color probably would be a better match for a newer and whiter sink. However, it seems to be good quality paint and works well. ... show more

  • It's true white and you'll see it initially
I just used this paint on 2 areas. I had 2 dings on my brand-new toilet seat lid which is true white, and an older fiberglass tub which is white, but not "true white". Both scuffs were deep and not buffable (less than 1/2 inch wide, not deep). I carefully dabbed the paint, and let it sit for about 30 seconds, and then buffed to blend. That worked, but I can see the white on both surfaces. Following up, I then buffed both spots, reapplied and repeated the process after about an hour. I'm happy with the product. I can see the spots, but no one else will. In fact, I had to search for the 2 areas for a second pass. In the right light you'll see it, but my 2 areas are so small (1/2" scuffs) that I'm happy that I don't see the black marks any longer. ... show more

  • Does a nice job matching white tubs and tile
The media could not be loaded. We had a cleaning lady drop a squeegee and it chipped the tub but we also had some small chips that needed fixing. Directions are simple make sure it's clean and no lose paint. Apply in multiple coats. Then let it dry for 4 days. This may be the hardest part for many households. It did a nice job making the chips far less noticeable. The bottle is the size of Whiteout for those of us old enough to remember typewriters. Plenty in there to do multiple repairs and so far its holding up well. ... show more
