I bought a 4 pack with the intent to grow potatoes in a bucket. The first brick I took out had flakes of metal (looks a bit like wadded up gum wrappers that fell into a wood chipper) mixed into the brick, which I had to keep picking out. I also got a rock from the center of the brick. In addition to that, the entire thing was filled with crystals, every piece I broke off was just loaded with them. I can't tell what they are, but it looked like mold at first glance. If it's sand, then I guess I bought overpriced sand, but I can't say for certain what it is. I just hope it isn't salt. It's okay as, but it's got a lot of stringy fibers and it's not making the amount it claims. I wasn't able to get a pic bc my phone said low memory but 4 bricks did not make enough to fill medium sized tote box. Sadly. Still gonna use it obviously but I think it may be like on the low mid grade tier. UPDATE: idk if I got a bad batch or what, but I initially wrote the review based on disolving 3 bricks, which did so very slowly and most just stayed muck, but upon trying to expand the 4th one which was taking even longer - 3hrs in I noticed a bunch of little white eggy looking things....like ant eggs or something? Idk but I had to just toss the rest of it idk what was in it or why it was taking more than 8hrs to absorb any water but nahhh ... show more
