I'm going to a costume party and I needed a crown. I bought this one based on the look and reviews. It arrived quickly (next day) packaging was an envelope and the crown was in plastic wrapping, which surprising since I expected a box. As other reviewers mentioned, it's heavier than one would imagine and pretty. Upon close inspection however, 2 stones were missing which definitely knocks down a star for me. I don't have the patience to return and I'm sure it will be covered by the wig I'm wearing to the party. The stones were NOT in the plastic or Amazon envelope otherwise I would pop them in myself and call it a day. Pretty solid crown; respectable quality for price. You could loosen or tighten the curve but it’s not a soft metal that would distort unintentionally. It arrived without proper packing shipped from Amazon (no padding) so I understand why other reviewers complained about it arriving damaged. Mine came in great shape and will be a versatile accessory for Halloween (this year is a mermaid, but would also look great on a wicked queen costume). It’s semi-heavy but I don’t think it will bother me to wear it fur a few hours! Good find ... show more

This was beautiful but extremely heavy. The enclosed bobby pins would not be sufficient to hold in your hair. It needs a comb attached to it and probably an updo.
