I used to run Fox Farm ocean forest and the Stonington blend is superior for growing cannabis.On this current run I am only adding water to the soil and the girls are really loving this soil. Definitely not good for seed starting or sprouting. Attempted to grow auto flower’s in this and no issues sprouting. The issues is once sprouted the soil is to hot for the seedlings. They wilt/burn, originally I thought it was the light but after adjusting lights/water I finally figured it was the soil. Three seedlings later I figured it out. ... show more

I purchased this after doing a grow using fox farms ocean forest, and being somewhat disappointed with the results. This is a very nice, rich soil that smells great and it appears to already be performing much better as indicated by the growth of the same plants in this vs the FFOF. As with most soils, I would recommend adding 20-30% perlite by volume to keep it from getting to packed down after repeated watering, because air to the roots and proper drainage are extremely important to healthy plants. ... show more

Original bag came with Fungus gnats but after a little communication they said they would replace their product. I live far and I can see how it happened. Aside from the gnat issue, the soil is working just as it says it would. I have only added proper PH’d water and all 3 of my plants are loving it. I am using 5 Gallon fabric pots so I just ordered the squid concentrate to use with my next watering. Thank you Cameron and Dylan for reaching out personally and taking care of me. Your product is great and hopefully it hits the shelves in my city soon! P.S. I got rid of the fungus gnats by using diatomaceous earth, a little neem oil and Yellow sticky traps. I bought this soil instead of Fox Farm according to a recommendation from a local plant shop. I was very hopeful and the soil color was gorgeous, after I repotted a 14" White BoP and a couple other smaller plants I realized I had a couple gnats flying around. I didn't think much of it, until I started seeing them crawling over every single plant in my home. I am completely turned off by this company due to this. I had to throw out an entire bag of soil. -- I get it, sometimes you can't control a bug infestation, but I am at a point now where I may have to throw away my entire plant collection as they may be too far gone. I am treating with neem, hydrogen peroxide, sticky pads, a Katchy, literally everything. Nothing is helping. I am extremely disappointed and will not be purchasing soil from this company again. ... show more

Tried nature’s living Organics, but at 35$ per 5lb bag plus base soil cost, this is cheaper. It may still be expensive soil, but that’s because it’s awesome soil. No other brand manufacturer besides KIND or KISS soil companies will come close, have not tried them yet but will. This soil is doing absolute work in the veg stage, but I would recommend having an organic plant fertilizer to supplement, as well as bacteria. That goes for any super soil blend, as throughout the grow nutrients will be watered out and decomposed. Always add bacteria every week or two, and you will likely not need to add anything at all besides sugar for bacteria to live off, like hibrix molasses. ... show more

    • Only order if you like soil pests that will destroy everything!!
If you want root aphids and other pests that will completely destroy your grow then this is the product for you!! Im really disappointed with this product, im sure the soil is good itself but I spent months and months taking care of my plants only to loose everything because of infested soil. I won’t use this product EVER again, even if they paid me too!!!!!!!. It’s so disappointing that they put out product that is infested. So far I have root aphids, fungus nats, springtails and mealybugs, and im sure theres more! Do not use this product! Never ever ever ever again! But go ahead and try if you want! I lost a substantial investment because of this product! Worthless!! ... show more
