Description

A new saw blade which reduces material waste and demand on the saw, while delivering reliable, industrial-quality performance cut after cut! This blade features a heavy-duty steel plate (44 Rockwell) for higher resistance during work, laser-cut heat expansion slots and sound dampening channels to prevent the tool from warping during rotation and greatly reduce vibrations! Blade teeth are made of Industrial SinterHip High-density carbide which prevents the tool from any material failure and guarantees a longer cutting life. Also, the new Shear Angle Grind on the teeth front face produces smooth cuts, reduces the blade cutting force and improves the cutting speed, setting a new standard for performance and value. Last but not least, the blade Non-Stick Orange Shield Coating keeps the blade running cool, reduces pitch build-up and protects against corrosion. Ideal for all woods including wet lumber. This outstanding saw blade is delivered in practical clamshell packaging.

  • Nice cut out of the box!
It will take some time to see how long the blade lasts but for now the cut is smooth and easy.

  • Good blade for the price
Ordered the blade to see if it was any better than the Diablo I had been using. In my opinion it is a lot better. I found it on sale so the price was competitive as well. Just a few test cuts so far to try it out, but very smooth

  • Great value! Great blade!
I'm a hobby woodworker who's tested a fair share of blades. I have a Forrest WWII and have loved my experience with the Diablo blades. I'm equally impressed with this blade as with the Diablos. My combo blade of choice has typically been the Diablo 10x40, but I wanted to try a 10x50 blade with the rip gullets (without spending too much). I'd been happy with my previous experiences with CMT. I found this blade on Amazon for $21 and decided it was worth a try (most other 10x50 blades are double that price). It did not disappoint. I've only had it for a few weeks so I can't speak to longevity yet, but so far the performance is very impressive. I've crosscut a variety of hardwoods and ripped some oak and walnut with this blade... all of which cut like butter. It is a very thin kerf but the stability is better than average. I'd say it's just a hair more wobble than my Diablo blade... on some of the thicker rip cuts I noticed a very small amount of chatter marks. I went ahead and ordered a couple more at the $21 price just because it's such a great value and I'd love to have a few spares (and I'd kick myself if I waited and Amazon raised the price back up to the $44 that other retailers are asking for it). Don't waste your money on a Forrest blade. As a guy who has, trust me when I say save your money and buy six of these (or Diablo) blades instead. You won't be disappointed. They'll last longer and perform equally or better. ... show more

  • Not a FTG blade
I ordered this blade specifically for the FTG feature to help with dado cuts for some inlay work I was doing. The cuts were clean and left no burn marks, but without the FTG feature, this blade is useless to me. I'm finding it hard to reach customer support for this issue as well.

  • Huge improvement over stock.
Replaced stock blade on delta table saw. Great blade at a great price.

  • My every day blade
This blade is by far the best blade I have personally used in any saw. I very quietly cut through both 1/2" and 3/4" plywood like butter with no smoke or burn marks of any kind. Very little tear out in fact I would call it a slightly ragged edge that I can hit with 100 grit and it is ready to finish. It cut a 3/32" kerf so it is a bit thinner than your standard run-of-the-mill blade. I will see how it performs in 1 x 6 Red Oak this weekend but my expectations are high. This blade is a keeper and I suspect it will be in the saw 95% of the time with the other 5% being the dado stack. ... show more

  • Outstanding blade for the price
Cuts very clean and lasts a really long time way better than those Diablo homeowner blades from Home Depot. These are made with micronized carbide with the thin kerf they're perfect for portable table saws I do a lot of finish trim and Cabinetry

  • Not worth the money
I tried this on my 3hp cabinet saw and made some rips on walnut, maple, oak and pine and they all were bad. Transfered the blade to my other 1.5 ho saw and got the same results. I tested the blade for runout and it was fine. It's just made poorly. The amount of saw blade marks on the cut was shocking to me. I would never buy this again and just use a Freud or Forrest. I like CMT's router bits, but not this blade. ... show more
