This soap cleans very well and has a nice coconut scent. It very very slightly has a Clorox smell in the scent. Based on that, I use it on dishes that are going into the dishwasher and to clean the sink out. If the thought of having a slight amount of bleach in it when hand washing your dishes does not bother you, I'm sure it's perfectly fine to use in that manner. This is the best dish soap I’ve ever used! You only have to use a tiny bit for a sink full of suds. Plastic ware gets squeaky clean. Destroys grease. I ordered a case of it after first using it. This particular scent has been discontinued-I love it. I am not sure if this type is available in other scents. I recommend it highly. I’ve never used Clorox brand dishwashing liquid but I’m a fan of their bathroom mold/mildew spray cleanser so I recently decoded to give this a whirl. smells like tropical coconut which is super nice and different from other dishwashing soaps I’ve used.
