Flavor Name: Coffee Though this is a freeze dried instant coffee, it's not all that bad. I mostly only use grounds or beans, but there are times when I'm lazy and just don't feel like going through all of the trouble. This instant coffee makes getting a quick and easy to make cup of coffee doable in times of need or desire without any of the fuss. Like other freezed dried coffees, you'll see what looks like brown gravel in this jar. Don't be fooled by the color though. It's oddly somewhat light in appearance. Because of that, I falsely assumed that this coffee was going to be much milder than it actually is. Also, because I was using a cup that is a little larger than a regular coffee cup, I added maybe a half a teaspoon extra. Turned out to be a big mistake for my preferences. Ended up being just too strong tasting. For the next cup, I used about half of that. That one was a little bit on the weak side. With anything like this, it will take a couple cups to get your exact preference down. Once you get that together, all is fine. As far as a good cup of coffee, well, this isn't bad. Still not my favorite cup of coffee, but it will do in a pinch. Better than those commercial grocery store instant coffees that I won't touch. If you tend to like freeze dried instant coffees, you'll most likely like this one. The rest of us will probably find this acceptable, though not necessarily preferable unless in a rush or in no mood for the extra work. ... show more

This is really great instant coffee, I was initially confused with how much to add, but I eventually figured it out to about 1 1/2 tablespoon per 12 fl oz, at least for me, and it made a nice strong cup of coffee, it tasted great for a medium roast, I thought it had more of a dark roast flavor, perhaps due to the strength I made it. This comes in a glass jar, and it's very convenient to make, just add the grounds to water, and it dissolves immediately to coffee, no messing around with filters or contraptions, the jar has a wide opening, so it's easy to scoop some out as-well. Overall I recommend, great instant coffee and one of the fastest to make, great organic ingredients, nothing artificial, directions state once opened to consume within 8 weeks, this instant coffee is great for travel or as a quick coffee beverage. ... show more

This instant coffee makes great dalgona. It has hints of caramel somehow and tastes amazing! It's packaged in a glass bottle with a plastic top. I wish the plastic top had a better seal because I don't believe it's airtight. I don't make instant coffee as it takes more effort to make dalgona, so I was hoping the seal would be tight enough for me to not worry about leaving it for stretches of time. ... show more

I’m normally not one for instants coffees but I needed this for a camping trip and it did the trick. I always worry it will be a bit bitter for my liking but thankfully this was pretty decent. No weird aftertaste like some instants have

For instant coffee, this one is tastes very good. It's great to have on hand when you're traveling and won't have regular access to a coffee machine. The bottle is very nicely designed and the artwork is vibrant and eye catching. Because of this, it'd make a great gift to a coffee lover. While the coffee itself tastes good, there aren't any measurement instructions on how to make good cup of coffee, so you'll have to guess and check a few times. ... show more

I've had Clipper brand teas and they ALWAYS impress me with the quality of flavor, freshness, etc. I didn't know they had coffee products until now and I was curious if this would taste like every other instant coffee: pretty bad and disappointing. I was surprised that this DIDN'T taste like instant coffee right off the bat. No, it's not as good as fresh and yes, it still has a slight "instant" flavor to it which I think is next to impossible to completely eliminate when freeze-drying. I am also a coffee snob and always grind my beans fresh, use an espresso brewing method, and all that so I'm going to be a little more critical than people already used to drinking instant coffee. All that said, this is probably the best instant coffee I've ever had AND it's organic so I feel it deserves a solid 5 stars. It comes foil sealed in a reusable glass jar (again, Clipper always comes with quality packaging y'all). The ingredients include coffee oil on top of freeze dried granules which may contribute to the more smooth and creamy flavor in contrast to most instant coffee which has an acidic drying aftertaste. This is labeled as a medium roast and matches that description accurately; not burnt or charred and not sour and acidic but rather, right in the middle. Overall, I'm impressed and for those on-the-go or traveling moments when I can't meticulously brew my usual beans, I won't dread drinking this like I dread most instant coffee products.
