I ordered these in the galaxy selection; silver, gold and pink. They are lovely colors with a lovely sparkle. They clip in well and cut down to size easily; the length is good so you should be able to get to most lengths that you would need. I haven't tried them with any heat as I don't really use curling irons and things on my hair so I can't attest to that. This clip-in hair tinsel is so much fun!! My daughter has a chin-length bob, so we cut down some of this tinsel (two clips' worth) to slightly longer than her hair. The clips make it super easy to place in hair and then hide the clip itself. Our hairdresser has similar tinsel she can apply, but sans clips, and charges quite a bit to do it, so this is an excellent temporary alternative for when you're feeling whimsical and want to try changing up your look. They did come with a significant crease in the middle that I'm not quite sure how to get out (am slightly worried that a straightener would melt them?). I wish the clips weren’t pink. I would prefer them to be of a natural hair color so that it would blend in better.
