Bought as a gift and wanted to keep it for myself. The hard metal bar that is used as the handle allows user to load it up with lots of heavy tools and still carry it with ease. The design is great partly due to all the pockets around the outside and completely open in the middle. Looking for a specific tool takes just a quick glance to find it. I think the 14 inch is the right size, the larger one would be pretty heavy and more of a hassle to "run and get" when needing a screwdriver or plyers for a quick job. ... show more

This is my 2nd CLC tool bag, my 1st bag lasted about 6 years of daily use, of being an apartment technician. It holds all my day to day tools, and then some. I like how all my tools are visible inside the bag.

Has tons of pockets and enough room for a the tools I need. The shoulder strap cushion just fell apart tho and only had it for a few months.

This is the third one of these that I have bought. They seem to last about 4 years which is pretty good. I almost sent this one back, and I probably should have.They have made some changes in the way they make this bag. They eliminated the flashlight holder. I guess they dont think I will be needing a flashlight.Now my flashlight is always in the bottom of the bag. They eliminated some tool holders on the inside end of the bag. The older bags had a heavier material on the bottoms of the tool pockets to keep sharper tools from poking thru. Very disapointed to see this has been changed to a lighter material. Still a good bag I guess, why did they have to screw it up? ... show more

    • Make sure it's what you want before you buy.
The bag itself is nice. The screwdriver slots are sewn shut on the bottom, so they're only held in but about 2" of material. If you've had an older one like I did, it isn't the same internally as they used to make it. Worst part is if you decide you don't like it, they hit you with a 50% restocking fee. ... show more

bought one in 2016, just bought 2 more, these new bags are cheaper, very disappointed with new bags, they have gone away with the 4 screwdriver loops inside the bag, there are no deep loops on the end which i always kept drill bits in, replaced with some cheap shallow elastic loops. the metal handle broke on my old bag otherwise i would keep using it, the bags last me 2 years but the pockets wear through on the bottom much sooner. They are used 5 days a week for ac repairs ... show more

This used to be the best bag to hold all of our tools......but now they've changed the design. Seriously who takes away the utility knife holder? No screwdriver slots? Why? The elastic straps on that inside end? Why? They were so useful that the bag really doesn't work for me now, returned it. Really wish they had left the design alone, I'd rather pay more than have useful parts taken away! ... show more
