To clear up a lot of confusion with this mattress, here is an Honest to God review.... Summary: - Mattress was easy to assemble (cut package and roll/air out) - Smell was not that bad... It's expected, so have a fan ready and air it out. - Firm version of memory foam (Perfect for bigger guys like me) But I have a hunch it breaks in over time. - Quality seemed very nice. I just received this mattress yesterday ( 8/5/2015 ). The packaging was as expected, the Cardboard box was in rough shape but the heavy duty plastic on the inside was untouched. I'm a 6'2" 230lb athletic man that spends most of my free time in the gym, so getting the package onto my bed frame by myself was no problem at all. To a regular or smaller person, you might need an extra hand carrying the 90+lb package. Upon opening, I cut the plastic and everything went as expected. The mattress inflated itself within 30 minutes with the corners lagging behind (I just hit the corners with my hand to fluff them up and help them catch up) . I let it sit for 24 hours before laying on it. The smell is strong, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Looking at the other reviews, some of these people must have had a bad mattress, or simply can't take a little odor for a few days (they might be sensitive). Here's the biggest point... The mattress is a very firm version of memory foam. Right out of the box the mattress doesn't give in as much as you may think. It's perfect for someone like me because, like I've said, I'm 230 lbs and athletic. This thing offers the perfect support for me, giving in to my heavy points and supporting my lighter areas yet I can see somebody who's much lighter having issues. I say to those people, give the mattress time to break in. I'll update this in a few months with a follow up. Tonight will be the first night I sleep on it, and I couldn't be more excited. The 10 minutes I spend laying on it this morning almost made me fall right asleep again. I'll keep this post updated because there seems to be a lot of confusion on this mattress. * Off topic * The first one I ordered got mixed up in the mail due to the carrier, therefor I got my mattress 3 days late. Amazon's customer service was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better crew to solve the problem. ** UPDATE (08/07/2015) ** - Last night was the first night that I slept on the mattress and I can honestly say I had a great night sleep. I didn't wake up in the middle of the night at all. I was cool all night (Granted I had a 17" box fan blowing directly over me) and the only time I got hot was when my lady friend came over earlier. I'm usually a very hot sleeper and people who complain about the heat of this thing should invest in a fan. Even without the fan it was very cool at first, but it did start warming up slightly after 30 minutes or so of laying in the same spot - but it wasn't that bad. I can say that I'm very pleased with my first night on this thing. *** UPDATE 08/24/2015 Sleeping on this thing has been a pleasure. It's not revolutionizing, but it's much more comfortable than my last mattress. The smell is pretty much gone although it did take awhile. The smell was honestly not that bad and the only way you could really smell it was if you stuck your nose in the mattress. I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore from tossing and turning. That's a huge plus for me because on my old mattress It felt like I had a cycle of waking up at 3 or 4am from tossing and turning. If you want a memory foam mattress, look no further!! This was inexpensive and it is wonderful! It came with two memory foam pillows as well! So great to sleep on. It was no trouble assembling it! The firmness is great and the durability is great!

Decided to give up our sleep number mattress for this one. I'm not disappointed at all. This mattress is quite comfortable. As for as being cooler I really don't notice that much of a difference. I still use a fan. Got the 14in. Thickness. I can't sleep with to soft of a mattress. This one is soft but yet firm. I haven't been waking up hurting. As I was with our sleep number mattress. And I didn't want to pay thousands for another mattress. Very easy to set up. Just don't open the plastic until you have it where you want it. This mattress is well made. So far for the past 4 nights we've been sleeping well and comfy. I do recommend if you like a medium/ Firm mattress, you will be happy with this one. The pillows are nice but a little to thick for me. They hurt my neck. But good for spare pillows. ... show more

We love this mattress. It’s super comfortable. My fiancé have a really bad back from a rupture disc. And this mattress have helped him a lot. He’s not crawling out of bed in the morning anymore (I’m not exaggerating one bit. He used to roll off the bed and crawled to the bathroom every morning because he couldn’t stand up straight and the pain from his back shoots down to his legs.) and can actually put on his own socks. I used to have to wake up in the morning just to put on his socks for him because he couldn’t bend over. So it definitely helps with pain relief. Not going to lie and tell you, you’ll be pain free because if you have a bad back like my fiancé it’s for life. Nothing will take the pain away as you already know. But this mattress definitely helps with managing the pain and help you get some comfort. He now can get a good night sleep without tossing and turning or even waking up screaming in pain. I no longer disturb him getting out of bed in the middle of the night because i do it a lot. Our sleeping schedule is the tots opposite. The only and main issue is the heat, And that’s the only reason why it lost a star. All memory foam mattresses traps a lot of heat and even with the cool gel it still gets pretty hot. I even tried to change the sheets and not use microfiber, it helps but it still gets hot. We can lay in bed all day without feeling sore or getting uncomfortable. I used to be a side sleeper but this mattress is so comfortable I started to sleep on my back. I couldn’t do that with my old mattress because it would hurt my back/whole body. It’s really easy to set up as well. Pretty heavy so it’s definitely a 2 person job unless you are very strong. It only took about 5 hours to get to its full size. I did not have the patience to wait 24-72 hours like recommended so I measured it every hour and on the 5th hour the mattress was at 14inch. I took a nap on it (didn’t put any sheets or mattress protector on it because I was too lazy) right when it hit the 14inch and it was PERFECT!!! We didn’t have any issues with the smell at all. Only had a wiff of a chemically smell when we opened the plastic probably from being vacuumed sealed but it quickly went away within minutes. By the time we finished setting up (approximately 5 minutes) it was all gone. The bonus pillows that came with it puffed up within minutes after opening and it was also Super comfortable. No smell either and heads up it was vacuum sealed underneath the mattress. They are a match made in Heaven! Without having to spend an arm and leg to get a goodnight sleep this mattress is totally worth the money. If you’re like me, I’ve done a lot of researches and looked around for about a whole year before deciding. I’ve checked out different websites, different local mattresses stores, read countless reviews and then google some more, and finally found this to be the most reasonable price for a quality mattress. Hands down the best investment we’ve ever made! Definitely recommend for anyone Looking for a goodnight sleep without having to spend thousands of dollars.
