It works well, only thing I wish it really specified was that it DOES NOT come with straps, luckily I had plenty. Other than that it worked out well for now, didn't get much snow this year to really out put it to the test.

Not sure why they don’t sell the straps with this???? IT falls over way to easily. If you have a big table definitely should but more that one. I may consider a very large beach ball instead because this doesn’t really cut it.

    • It Works And Is Easy To Install

It does what it's supposed to do, and you do not need the additional straps. As other reviewers have said, you just reach underneath and put the support pole in place. Also, the pole is high enough that there is no puddling in the low spots. Update: As some of the other reviewers had said, the plastic material is kind of flimsy. I purchased two, one is working fine and the other has snapped at the joint. I guess the wind and snow were too much for it. Good idea and works as long as it isn't subjected to too much stress. It's now March, and I think that I've come up with a solution to the flimsiness of this support pole. I returned the bottom half of the umbrella pole back into the umbrella base that's under the table, and then I removed the dome section from the Adjustable Support Pole and placed it into the top of the original umbrella pole . The dome prevents the umbrella pole from punching a hole through the cover when, for example, snow is on it and, of course, it makes for a much stronger support. And, the icing on the cake is that it is impervious to wind, and so no straps are needed. ... show more

Does the job, but comes apart too easily. I would recommend taping the area where it comes apart because it may fall over at high winds during a storm.

This works great even without the extra cost straps. Our cover has elastic straps so we attach the cover straps to one side of the table and then place it in the middle of the table. We then fold the other half of the cover over it and attach the straps on the other side of the table. We have had some pretty good wind storms and, so far, it has always stayed in place. I didn't give it five stars because we have an umbrella post hole in the middle of the table that has a clear rubber plug in it since we do not have an umbrella. If the bottom had a cutout area to accommodate the raised area of the plug it would sit level. Although it seems to stay in place it does rock because it is sitting on top of that rubber plug. ... show more

As someone else has indicated, the description is somewhat misleading. It says it adjusts from 12" to 20", but in fact it only adjust to 12" OR 20". The support pole is two pieces, you can either use one piece (12") or both pieces (20"). My second issue is that while it does raise up the middle of the cover, there are still low points between the pole and the chairs. It hasn't rained yet since I've installed this, but I'm not sure it solves the problem. Seems to me that rain is still likely to collect, just in a different place. TBD. Also, I thought it was a tad expensive for what it is. I can easily imagine finding something like this at Walmart for $9.99 or even $7.99. For $20 it should come with the straps. I still gave it 3 stars, mostly because there doesn't seem to be much else on the market to solve this problem. However, as indicated above, I'm not sure yet whether this actually does solve the problem. If not, I would lower rating to 1 or 2 stars. Update: it rained today, and, as suspected, there is still water pooling on the cover. As a result, I've lowered my rating to 2 stars. Not sure how other people are having success with this. i get a draping effect of the cover between this pole and the chair backs, and the water is pooling there. I guess it's a slight improvement over one large puddle in the middle, but now I have 4 or 5 smaller puddles. ... show more

    • Keeps the snow off

Snow and rainwater were collecting in the cover - I used inflatable pool rings to lift the cover - but over time the toys deflated and I was left with the same problem. These are easy to place, held up in 50 mph winds My only complaint is they don't stay together - I will probably glue them in the future ... show more
