When I first purchased these loafers they were to replace a much more expensive brand that had finally worn out. My hopes were not high despite having worn this brand before. Yet now I don’t want to take them off, as the weight isn’t too heavy or light. They are made with good support built in. They have not loosened around my feet, nor has the elastic stretched despite months of wearing and are still “almost” as comfortable as the first time I put them on. “Almost” is because I am wearing the well made insoles out and will have to replace them at some point. These go with shorts, jeans and casual dresses. I have worn them in the rain and stayed dry. And they don’t bother my wonky big toe knuckle, but that’s a case by case basis. I can’t say enough good things about these shoes. I specifically bought them for walking around all day at the Renaissance Festival. They are perfect, supportive, and the they even looked Renaissance-y!! My feet didn’t hurt at all at the end of the day!!! Will definitely be a Clark’s shopper now!

I’ve been wearing this brand of shoe for over 25 years never have I had an issue with any of their shoes other than the (cost) but they do last forever. I also wish they would come size 8 1/2 wide. The brand always comes 8 to 9 which I guess is OK cause I’ve been wearing them, but I would love to know what it would feel like if they came in a wide with. ... show more

these shoes are not quite the reddish-hue I expected (based on a previous style of Clark's shoes) but they are great, a little more casual, a little less "constructed" and not quite as suitable for snowy Winter days. These are a little looser than the Carleigh Pearl black leather in size 12W and equally sized to the 12W Carleigh Pearl nubuck 12W I ordered at the same time. I kept all 3 pairs knowing the Carleigh Pearl black leather shoes will stretch and conform to my foot as Clark's shoes reliably do. If you plan to wear any kind of sock with these loafers, order a half size larger to prevent toes from being slightly crunched. I ordered my regular size, then returned and ordered half size larger. Couldn’t be more perfect! So classy! Love this shoe!
