I have a few messy buns I bought here on Amazon that I throw on for virtual meetings (I work remote). I wanted to try something new that wasn't quite so uptight looking. This one is a much better match for my hair (very highlighted dark ash blonde) - a little more variation would be a better total match but it looks real. There are wire/cord things inside of it that you can bend to your own tastes. At first I didn't realize that and bent them all around to try different looks - I was afraid they would show. They DO NOT at all, no matter how I style it - so versatile! I bend it up higher and out further for normal wear but closer in for work. My daughter (25) knows I wear the messy buns but she saw this one and said "wow mom, your hair looks so cute!". Claw is VERY strong, in fact a little difficult for me to open. It won't fall off ever. I wore it to work (in person) and I needed to adjust the prongs a few times throughout the day, but I absolutely love it and the claw didn't budge. I would like a little more color variation but the messy bun styles I've tried with highlights were TOO different in color for my hair (like brown and blonde chunks together). My natural hair in the front looks a little brassy in my pics, but it was right after highlighting. Some purple shampoo got a near-perfect match (I always tone a few times after highlighting because I hate brassy). I pull my own hair back into a tiny, tight bun and just clip this on. I pull a little hair over the top and bobby on it there and one on each side because I'm paranoid the clasp will show. It doesn't though, but it looks better that way to me. I'm going to buy a spare because I love it so much. Perfect length for what my hair would look like if I spent an hour poofing up my own pony. Buy it! Colors don’t match or blend. Thought I’d try a short style for the gym but NOT! The clip isn’t large enough to tuck your own hair in. I tried ponytail, braid, loose; the clip is too small to hide your own hair. The piece feels like chicken feathers are wrapped with hair. Returning, Not well made at the attachment to the clip. Color is off, they need to blend colors in these flat colored pieces, they’re too fake looking unless your hair is all one color, which nobody’s is. This was a big fail for me. I like the hair piece color I chose because I have SILVER/ DARK hues and a bit of white so its a fairly good match up at a low price but the three wires on top (inside the hair) should have been just one wide piece to help the hair stand up higher- the three wire pieces move around a lot and don't stay where you put them for height and fullness so I have to figure out what I can use to make one solid bar to fan out the hair without being noticeable Otherwise- Love the length and color ... show more

This hair piece is cute and I will keep it but it is not as nice as other brands of similar pricing. The clip is almost too large and It requires a little more fussing with to adjust the strands to hide the clip but once you do, it's cute. The wire in the hair itself is a fun option and you can mold it get a different look. The hair itself is a little on the shiny side, but a great option if you hair is a little dirty. Ha! My biggest complaint is that the hair is attached to the clip with zip ties and and there is not enough hair in the clip. It looks full because of the wires. I purchased the "grey" colored clip on with some skepticism. I didn't think there was any way that this was going to look real and figured I would have to return it, but it was a free return, so what the heck ... boy, was I wrong ... even my husband thought it was my real hair!!! I get so many compliments on how nice my hair looks (to the point that I keep wondering how bad it looked before lol). People are shocked when I tell them it's a clip on. It has kind of wiry things that you can bend to have the hair lay however you want it to. I wear it almost every day because now it's so easy to do my hair. I comb with the comb I had before and it hasn't lost any of the "hairs". If I hadn't worn it will riding in a convertible or on our boat, I don't think I would even have had to do that ... by the way even though it was windy, the clip never moved. The color is good, but it comes with no instructions.... How do you wear it without the inner workings of the hairpiece showing? On the sides of the clip, it's very easy to see the stitching and zip ties that hold this thing together.... it looks totally fake when on..... And what are these long stiff things? Do we take them out? Do we cut the zip ties? Ugh...... A total mess. And yes, it's very heavy and painful to wear for more than a few minutes. ... show more

I spent a lot of time last night on Amazon looking for the best clip on ponytail for me before deciding on this one. I saw some bad reviews but for the price I decided to give it a try anyway and I must say I am very pleased and didn’t have any problems. I even went back on Amazon today and ordered the straight style for delivery tomorrow. This is the wavy golden blond/beach blond pictured. I can now have a natural looking ponytail again until my very short hair grows back. I was afraid with my short hair it wouldn’t work but I slicked it back with some gel clipped the ponytail on and viola! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Give it a try! ... show more
