I have used many tubes of this clear gloss. It’s the only one I’ve been able to tolerate on my lips, as it is less sticky and heavy than some I’ve tried. It has a bit of a plumping effect, and I love that it has hyaluronic acid to retain moisture. I sleep in it to give my lips a nice treatment overnight. It’s pricey; I wish it were $20 or so, but it does last a good while. One star removed because of expense and the company’s tendency to exaggerate the plumping effect. Update: So I've used this about 3 times this week (since I've only worn full makeup 3 times) and it's growing on me. By the 3rd use I am noticing a difference in my lips. They are slightly plumper, especially the top lip. Also my lip color isn't bleeding into the fine lines as much as it had been before using city lips. I still don't like the stickiness but by putting this on first when doing my makeup and then adding my lipstick over the top at the end as usual it seems to damp down that stickiness. Yesterday I forgot I even had it on...which wasn't possible previously. I'm going to continue using it and see how it goes. Original Review: I used this for the first time this morning and I'm really undecided about it. The not so great: First of all, it does have a slight sting to it... slightly above a "tingle". I put it on 4 hours ago and it still feels a bit tingly. Second, it's really sticky. I attempted to blot it off after about 10 minutes and it continued to feel sticky. I put my regular lipstick over it in an effort to tamp down the stickiness but that didn't help. The good: thus far the only thing I can say I like about it is that it enhanced the natural color of my lips. They looked like I had a natural/pink lip gloss on. I can't tell yet if it's going to make my lips appear plumper or reduce the appearance of fine lines. To be honest, I'd return the product right now if I could. But since I can't I'll continue using it to see how it works over time for lip plumpness and fine lines. Frankly, it's going to have to do that job REALLY well in order to make the stickiness acceptable. I'll continue to use the product and update my review accordingly.     • Very moisturizing
This stuff is great! I feel like this actually plumps my lips up a little bit, not a whole lot, but a little bit. But more than that I like that it hydrates, and seems to help with the fine lines around my lips. I wear it throughout the day. But my favorite time to where it is at night before I go to bed. I apply it and when I wake up, I feel like my lips are softer, smoother, plumper and hydrated. The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is because it’s a bit sticky to wear during the daytime for me, so I only apply a little bit by finger during the day. It also adds a nice shine to your lips if that’s what your looking for. This has become a regular part of my nighttime routine. Very pleased. ... show more

You are never going to get Angelina Jolie or Kylie Jenners lips with a plumper, so set that expectation aside to begin with. Kylie owns a cosmetics company and she still went and got lip injections, that will tell you there is simply nothing in a non invasive cosmetic out there to make your lips that full. Having said that, I was fully prepared to have wasted my money on this and to have it be another plumper that lasts a whole 30 minutes and then "deflategate" BUT I was pleasantly surprised. After reading the reviews, I was intrigued enough to risk a purchase and so glad I did. I have a very thin upper lip and a small but slightly plump in the middle lower lip, but when I smile my top lip completely disappears and the bottom thins considerably. I don't need lips that look like I've injected balloons under the skin, I just want a slightly fuller upper lip and lips that didn't disappear completely when I smiled. I got that and more. The BEST part of this product is that it lasts. I try to put this on once a day but frequently forget and rarely use it everyday. But when I remember and run to the mirror to put it on, I smile at myself in the mirror to see if it's completely deflated and surprisingly, even after not applying for 2 days, I'll still see a full upper lip looking back at me! Thats pretty amazing. It does have a slight tingle when you first put it on, but that goes away pretty fast. It is kind of thick and gloomy for 30 minutes or so, but I don't use makeup regularly, so I think anything would feel thick to me. I have not tried it with lipstick so can't tell you about how that would look, etc. But if it works this well when I forget it half the time, I wonder how my lips will work if I actually use it once or twice a day!! ... show more

I liked the glossy shine, but this will not increase the size of your lips. I have extremely thin lips and after using this product, I still have extremely thin lips. I didn't feel much tingling in the lips. Right after using this product, I did notice a tiny plump, but it didn’t last. This, to me, is just a very expensive pretty lip gloss. ... show more

I like that it’s clear and thick but I don’t think it’s worth it for the amount of money, plus it’s not so “natural”

    • My Lips Feel Smoother and Look Healthier
My Nurse Practioner at my med spa recommended this product. After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't get City Lips. I am so glad I gave it a try. I use City Lips Clear at night before I go to bed and after a few days, my lips felt and look smoother. It seems to have hydrated the small, fine lines around my mouth and my mouth does look fuller. The softness lasts all day! I do use another lip gloss during the day. In some of the reviews I read, others mentioned stickiness. There is some stickiness to the product but it doesn't bother me. Others said it got in their hair when they slept. I have not had this problem at all as I usually sleep with my hair away from my face. Give it a try! ... show more
