It does prevent being able to see through the slats of the privacy fence, which keeps the dogs a little quieter not being able to see the neighbors dogs when they are out. I got this for my back fence. I share a good neighbor fence and both my dog and their dog bark constantly when they see movement through the fence slats. I got this to see if it would reduce the barking and annoyance. It has definitely cut down on the barking! I got the 50 foot 5 feet tall size. My fence is 6 foot tall and 58 feet long, so it covered almost all of the fence line. I chose to use a staple gun and staple the edging directly to the fence, not using the included zip ties. I like that it's a lightweight material and a light color, so it sorta blends with the cedar fence and doesn't look obnoxious. I like that some light can still get through, so hopefully it will not affect grass growth. ... show more

    • This is a quick and strong way to put up a privacy barrier quickly.

This privacy barrier screen it tightly woven and gives a very good way to provide blockage to street views from far away into your yard. This is good quality screen material, and I picked this roll to add to another 50 ft roll of the same color and type of screen- to get a full 100ft. of fence put up fast. I hung it between 4x4 posts cemented in at 10ft. apart and ran a tight wire along the top and anchored the screen to the wire. I left a one ft. gap along the bottom edge for high wind control, and it works well. Seems durable and long lasting. Great find! ... show more

The zip ties that come with the shade aren’t very big. The length is fine but they are small and don’t withstand heavy tension. I had to zip tie around a metal fence post and when I tightened the zip tie it broke. I just used some random Home Depot zip ties that were a little bit wider. Once you get strong zip ties at your ends then the little ones work fine to secure to a piece of wire or chain link fence. It looks great and serves its purpose. I'm using it to keep my neighbors privacy footage from constantly spilling into my backyard and me having to always clean my fence and around it because of their mess. This does seem heavy duty enough to do the job. It was easy to install and it looks better than I thought it would on the fence.

Came with more zip ties than needed, folded nicely in such a way that it was easy to lay out alongside the fence. Sturdy, and lets minimal air through so it should withstand storms pretty well.

I purchased horse fencing so I didn't have to spend a ton on fencing off an area of my yard. When I received this privacy, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and durable feeling of the fabric. I put this on the horsing fence and I couldn't be more happier! It hides the fence and also gives me privacy when I'm in my hot tub. We've had a lot of rain, and this has held up great.
