  • Bandit Lo-Pro Minimal yet Functional - Not Really RFID (Card Insert)
Color: Olive/Teal/Putty
Chums make my favorite wallets, hands down. The Surfshorts wallet has been my daily wallet for over a decade. Yet every now and then I do like to have something just a bit "less" than the Surfshort. The Bandit Lo-Pro is just a touch bigger than the Chums Daily Wallet and includes an elastic band on both sides. The Daily wallet has two card slots on one side and a slim elastic pocket on the other. I feel that three cards is the max with both wallets but the Lo-Pro gives you a little more options with the elastic bands on either side for a few bills and another card/transit pass. The only thing that I don't like is the RFID blocking card, and I really don't like this. These wallets are slim, very minimal, and so to give up a slot for an extra card is silly to me. Personally, either make it part of the material or don't include it. I really like Chums wallets and have a use for Daily, Lo-Pro, Bandit and Surfshort but I kind of want to take stars away for the RFID card on a minimalist wallet but I find the wallet functional and Chums to be durable. For the same price, I'd get the Lo-Pro over the Daily. ... show more

  • Nifty minimalist wallet. RFID blocking on a technicality.
I like this wallet pretty well, especially the attached loop that makes it able to connect easily to a leash or keychain or a drawstring. I'm not crazy about the fact that your folded cash is held in place by an elastic strap that's open on the top and bottom sides. That feels risky. Also, I didn't realize until I received the wallet that I have to keep the RFID blocking card in it for that feature to work. Most people will assume that this technology is built into the wallet itself, not into the included card that looks like a throwaway marketing piece. ... show more

  • Can it be too minimalist?
I am a fan of a good minimalist wallet, but this may be slightly too minimalist for me. Or is it? I was able to slide my favorite credit card up front and my drivers license in the back. That's it for cards. I think that with a little stretching I could possibly fit one additional card, but for now, its two. I really like an elastic cash strap, and with a few bills tri-folded, they fit snugly into the strap. I carried this around for a few days in this state and really enjoyed having so little in my pocket. The material has a bit of texture and helps the wallet remain snug inside my pants pocket. It is so thin, it just lays flat in my pocket. The main (front) card slides in and out easily. The back slot uses a finger push notch to get the card high enough to grab with the tips of your fingers. HOWEVER, with so few items in my pocket, I found myself in a couple of situations. 1. When narrowing down the cards I could actually fit, I chose my credit card over my atm-debit card, I was good for couple of days until I needed to withdraw cash, and I didn't have my bank card to use at an ATM. I was able to find a branch that I could walk in to (yes you can still go IN to a bank) and have a teller withdraw the cash, but not having the convenience of the ATM took a little extra time. 2. My Costco card was also on the short list. I had put it in my work bag, so I would have access to it during the week, but a quick decision to swing by Costco this weekend, ended up being a no-go. I know that there are some digital options that I could be doing with my phone to address some of these issues, but I think I'm feeling the initial shock from carrying a wallet that could hold 7 cards, down to two. I'm going to carry it for a bit longer and see how things play out. I personally am not a fan of the chain loop, and if I continue to carry this wallet, I am considering removing it. It appears that it will snip right off and will make it that much more minimalist! I am happy with this wallet. ... show more

  • Not really for me, but it's well made.
I lost my wallet and this was the first thing that showed up for review that I didn't hate so I gave it a try. I'll be going for something leather once I have the time to be picky, but this will do for now. The front pocket doesn't let the card slide all the way down, but I believe this is meant for easy access. One card stays in fairly well on it's own without falling out, two is nice and snug. The back pocket is more secure and has the RF blocking material and holds one card snugly on it's own with room for more. The thumb slot to poush it out works well. The cash straps also hold cards, but you need at least two for them to be snug. I didn't take test photos, but it kept 3 folded up bills pretty secure while carrying it around in my pocket. If surf style is your thing, this a reputable brand that makes sturdy equipment. ... show more

  • Great travel wallet
Color: Lime/Blue/Royal
This is perfect for a trip. Enough room for a couple cards and a bit of cash and it fits neatly in your front pocket. Love the bright colors too.
