I. Love. This. I LOVE it. The fit is spot on (sizing can vary wildly with online shopping) - I ordered a medium and it’s definitely a medium. I have thicker arms than my height and weight would suggest and this definitely accommodates my body with a flannel shirt underneath (I tried it on as soon as it arrived) and I could probably wear a thin sweater or sweatshirt underneath it too. It’s thinner than standard trench coats - definitely not intended for warmth in cold weather - think more Spring or Fall weather. That’s a plus for me - I wanted to pull together my funeral outfit and not be cold at the windy cemetery but didn’t want to be overheating in Spring weather, either. It’s got clean lines, well made - worth the cost. The belt is very long - I wrapped it around my waist twice - so I’ll either tie it off (I know it has a “buckle” loop but still) or remove it all together. Doesn’t matter - it’s a nice look. I got the grey coat and it’s exactly as pictured - not too dark, not too light. I recommend this trench coat. ... show more

I ordered an XL in the camel color. I am 5'7" tall and about 150/155 lbs. I wear a 10/12 in pants, not busty. I normally wear Large, but I wanted to have room to layer. It's comfortable in the arms and shoulders. This jacket came almost to my knees, which is what I was hoping for - I wanted it longer than my other rain jacket. It's a classic double-breasted style (only one column of functional buttons, no interior buttons) with a large collar and detachable hood. The hood does NOT have a drawstring to help keep it in place when walking in the rain/wind. The collar feels a little awkward when the hood is on as well, I guess you would turn it straight up. I tried several times to find a comfortable fit for the hood, but it would not stay on. It has a high interior pocket, which I like. The side pockets are ample, no closure but deep. The belt is very long, I have it tied/looped over in the photos. The feel and look of this jacket is nice. It is lightweight and not too shiny or noisy. I did not test water resistance. This trench coat is exactly what I expected and more!!! The fabric is lightweight and it has a nice shine to it, it fits perfectly , it is lined , it has a perfect length and the fact that the hoodie is removable it helps to wear this with a more formal outfit or more casual if you wish. It is great to wear on those slightly cold days of spring or fall . I took the advise of some reviewers and sized up and ordered an XL but the sleeves are a little long and it is a little roomy. This trench coat is true to size so I will return this and buy my size L . In addition I ordered some gold metal buttons and I will change the plastic buttons to make it look more classy . It is a beautiful trench coat. The delivery was fast , it took only 2 days to arrive . If you want a staple piece to wear to the office or with a dress and heels or with jeans and sneakers this is it !!! ... show more

I loved the jacket itself. It is so adorable, comfortable, for the most part is true to size but if you have broad shoulders it may be a little tight. My biggest disappointment is that I received the wrong color. Either that OR the color just doesn’t match the description. This is a really great coat for the price. It's lightweight, flattering, and comes with a detachable belt and hood. I got it in the black and it's very slimming. It's well-made and all the details are thoughtful, including the tortoiseshell buttons. For reference, I got the 3X and am 5'7, 220 lbs.; based on the other large-chested gals' reviews I sized up and it fit perfectly. My only gripe is the detachable hood, the snaps don't stay put so it's constantly falling off, therefore, that part is basically useless. However, I'd still recommend this coat to anyone looking for something that's versatile and high-quality, it's perfect for the spring and fall. Good deal! ... show more

***I went on my trip and it did keep me dry when it started to rain, but it didn't keep me warm. It was also very tight when I wore it over a sweatshirt. I would recommend it for anyone who is needing a raincoat for the warmer months where layers and thicker clothing will be warn. But that mostly due to the sleeves being so narrow. I had more than enough space in the chest and body area. I bought this because I am going to the UK in October, and I wanted something to wear that was dressier than my hoodie and long black cardigan sweater and offered more than my pashmina shawl. I normally wear a size 14 and thought the XL would be the perfect size. It's fine if I am wearing a nice dress or a blouse. But a thick sweater or sweatshirt and it would be too tight on my arms. I wear a size 38 DDD-40DD bra depending on brand and I was happy that I can close this jacket ( this is to thin to be a coat) The Purple is a rich dark color that I love.
