I got this wetsuit for my boy, but unfortunately, it turned out to be too tight for him. While the quality is excellent, it's disappointing that it didn't work out as we had hoped. I would still recommend it.

This wetsuit looks really nice, and is a fun wetsuit for kids to wear. The size is pretty true to size, and is pretty easy to put on and take off. The material seems durable enough, and all the stitching seems pretty secure. The zipper is larger, which is nice when trying to close it and open it. My biggest issue with this wetsuit was that it did not seem very warm. The product description states that it is 2mm, but it definitely feels thinner than that, especially when compared to other wet suits we had. I felt like the material was much thinner and less "cushioned" than other wet suits we have, and it will not keep you as warm as you would expect. The wetsuit is pretty flexible and easy to move in, and you can definitely participate in a number of different activities in it because it’s so thin and flexible, but again, it will not keep you warm. Although it's nice to have, and may provide some coverage, if you are looking for something to keep you warm, especially in cold water, I would not recommend this product for that purpose. ... show more

I had been trying to get my then-5-year-old son to learn to swim, and for a while he seemed to make good progress until a few months before COVID-19 hit. He suddenly freaked out about going to swimming lessons and he reverted to not wanting to try. Since then, I had him join me on stand up paddle boarding outings every weekend or so, and to my surprise, he had been watching me teach others how to paddle. He warmed up to my encouragements to try paddling himself and he did very well. But... He still refused to jump into the water. And he was cold after each trip. Got him a wetsuit. I did not want to give him a full-bodied one as in California, it rarely is needed for most of the year. Kept him warm, and he was finally ready to get into the water and he LOVED it. Excellent! He had been swimming in the bay with his life vest, paddled on my iSUP for some time now (with a rope I had tied to it so he could be pulled back when he went too far). That wet suit (or any brand, most likely) gave my son the courage and joy to go swim, and thankfully, that translated into having him want to learn to take swim lessons again. 2mm makes it just warm enough without feeling overheated under the California sun. ... show more

Covers arms and legs enough to keep one warmer than the typical swim suit. Adds additional layer of protection form those UV rays. as well. The zipper works smoothly and the child can zip themselves up. This 2mm size is good for summer use especially early summer with water temperatures still feeling chilly. So the difference is that she was shivering the da before without the wet suit but was able to handle the water the next day with the wet suit with no chills. To care for it you must hand wash and line dry only. But it does dry quickly. Didn’t notice any lingering smells after the first wash. I would recommend ordering based on which ever is the largest, chest, waist or height, so its not too snug. ... show more

I think the sizing is a bit small for this. Got the xxlarge and it's very tight on my slim 14 year old... and not quite long enough in the torso. It's made of very thick neoprene, but appears to be made well. I don't like that the zipper is in the front - definitely made for the front since the collar is designed the way it is. This will not be good for surfing, but would be fine for other water sports where you're not laying on your chest and don't need to be so agile. ... show more
