I purchased this for an event that was held outside on a hot day. It was perfect. The weight of the fabric is heavy enough to not be transparent but light enough to not be hot. It held up to a 4 hour car drive and shows no wrinkles. It's a knit. The elastic was heavy enough to keep the top up without constant readjustment on my part but it wasn't so tight as to be uncomfortable. It was just the right amount of snugness. For reference, I am 5'6" 127 #, 38 inch bust. I have both medium and a small size. The small size fits better. One thing to consider though is that I am very long waisted, probably 2 1/2" longer from shoulder to waist than the average woman and I found the rows of stitching just a bit longer than I really need in the back but a bit too short in the front with the rows of stitching hitting me more mid-midriff. Its the result of parallel rows of elastic in this style dress and nothing against the manufacturer. It will not will not be a problem on a woman with a smaller bust but should be considered prior to purchasing for someone who is short waisted or has a larger bust. The pattern of the fabric hides this difference in where the elastic rows end in the front vs the back on me and so it looks fine. I like it. ... show more

Overall nice dress. The fabric could be a little thicker or sturdier. The shimmer shown on the picture is not as shimmer on the actual fabric. A bra liner would be nice to add to the top. The media could not be loaded. I liked the color of the dress, it was pretty comfortable until after the band under the bust became undone in certain spots. It is stretchy, but during the stretching to get on, the band snaps each time. Just seems like the stitching isn’t great. I felt I had the right fit for me too- it wasn’t as if I had to squeeze into it. Super comfy and colors are exactly as designed. Lightweight for a hot day. Top doesn’t roll down but just tight enough to be slightly unflattering in the armpit area. My only complaint but i still like and will wear a lot.
