Love the black ones! I’m a pocket gal, and those are so handy. The fabric is nice and doesn’t look like it will wrinkle much. I carry a lot of weight in my belly so to fit that, the legs are usually too big. With this pair the legs aren’t too big - yay! Will see how they wash. The jeans version in the exact same size are almost shapeless, too big, and not flattering. I’m ordering a smaller size before reviewing the jeans pair. I held the jeans pair up to the black pair and there was a good 1-1/2” to 2” more on the waist of the jeans pair. I do virtually all my shopping for clothes online and it’s challenging for sure. I have loved these pants that I bought from a store, and when I saw these online I was so excited. The black pair I bought fit perfectly. The denim pair not so much. The elastic waist seems to be stretched beyond normal and is too loose. Unfortunately, I would return the denim pair for another pair, but I have already taken off the tag so I will see if I can take it in somehow. Overall, the black pair is perfect. I'm wondering if I just received a pair of denim pants that someone had tried on and the elastic waistband got stretched out. For years, I purchased Just My Size jeans until I began to notice the denim felt thinner and the seams weren't as securely sewn as they had been previously. I went on the search to find a replacement and decided to try these Chic jeans. First thing I noticed was the quality of the denim. It felt thicker while still being comfortably soft. The wide waist band fits securely, although I do have to pull it up a bit higher than other elastic band pants I own. What I especially love about these pants is how they fit snugly on my thighs without being too tight. A problem I've often encountered with plus-size jeans, in general, is if they fit at the waist, they look like clown pants on the legs. I ordered two pairs of these over the summer and they are pretty much the only jeans I wear now. I am someone who cannot tolerate the annoying discomfort of tight waistbands, zippers, buttons, or rigid fabric, so I took a chance on these jeans and wasn't disappointed. What I love about these is that they are jeans but are not as constricting as regular jeans. The fabric is not flimsy, but is lighter than a typical denim, so it moves comfortably with you. I wear mine working in the garden, squatting and bending, and never have to worry about an inflexible seam or waistband cutting into me as I bend over. I also love the pockets, and they are functional... not tiny. Also, the waistband is high and falls at the true waist, which I LOVE because they hold themselves up and never ride down when bending or moving. I ordered these a size up from what I needed, just to be sure they weren't snug at all, and that worked well. In fact, I have since lost 30 pounds, and they still fit extremely comfortably without being too loose. I think these would be very forgiving during and after pregnancy or any time when one's weight is fluctuating. I will say that, at least in my case, the overall cut isn't a terribly flattering one in the abdomen because of the poofed out effect of the gathered elastic. If you are concerned about that, it's something to consider. For me, the poofy tummy area is actually a selling point because they are so comfy and my shirt always conceals that part anyway. I highly recommend these to anyone who suffers from IBS or other digestive issues that cause abdominal pain or bloating. UPDATE AFTER 1 1/2 YEARS: I still love these. I wear them frequently and they're pleasantly broken in but still holding up great. Also, I have now lost 50 lbs and am still wearing the same two pairs of jeans I originally purchased! Haha. They are loose fitting in the pant, but the waist stays in place comfortably and never falls down past my navel. I love these things. ... show more

The pants are comfortable and the length fits at pretty much the perfect length on me (I'm 5'4), but there are NO BACK POCKETS. Your butt is BARE. The front pockets are....decent but you will not be able to fit much. I have a Galaxy s10+ and it sticks out too much. I must have misread the other reviews, because I was under the impression everybody was praising that these pants actually have pockets... They're comfy enough, but I think I will stick to men's pants ... show more

These are my favorite go to slacks. They come in various colors so you can dress up or down the slacks. Waist band is pure comfort either walking or sitting down. Length is perfect being petite. Very soft but durable material. Every woman's closet needs more than one pair.
