I followed the instructions, as listed and washed HOT and dried COOL before initial use. Unlike most everyone else, this is to dry my shower after use to prevent mold and mildew. I've only used it once and dried the ENTIRE shower, including glass, to see how it held up. It's hardly wet! I'm very impressed and plan to buy more after a few more tests. I read reviews for all the other comparable brands (Adams, GG Terry) and decided on this one for my personal needs. I pulled up to the car wash and another guy with a truck pulled up next to me and began same time. He got to the drying section before I did so I park my sedan. I took out the towel from the original bag first time use, and began. I saw the guy frequently squeeze the microfiber towels since they would get full of water. I just keep swiping the towel and cleaned very well. Once I finished with my sedan I took it home and pick up my 2 door car: I took it to the car wash. The guy with the truck was still there! I washed my two door and took it to the drying section. Again the guy was squeezing the towels to take out the water. I was a bit hesitant of the towel since it already cleaned a 4 door sedan but I went on. It actually did a decent job on the 2 door a little bit more elbow grease to pick up the water. When I drove off the guy with the truck stared at me amazed. One towel for a sedan and a 2 door and can possibly do another 2 door car is amazing for the price. Never had to squeeze the towel just drop it in the bucket and get home and let it air dry. (Also did tire dressing for both cars) Amazing product. Looks like a professional detail. ... show more

    • Great for Large Areas, Super Absorbent But Can Get Clumsy

I am a big fan of waffle weave drying towels. But I have a large SUV for which I need to use a step ladder to wash/dry the roof. I was looking for a towel that could dry the roof in one or two swipes. This towel totally does the job. I can fling it across the roof from my perch on the ladder and pull it across the surface and it will absorb almost all the water in one pass, without me having to apply any pressure to the towel. The towel is super soft and super absorbent, which, given its size, means it will become very heavy when wet. I think that is unavoidable. It is a special purpose towel. If you have a smaller vehicle with easy to reach surfaces, this towel might not be the best choice. But for large, hard to reach surfaces, this is the best drying towel I have used. I've used quite a few Chemical Guys products so I thought I would give this towel a try. I wash my car fairly frequently and have several drying towels that are marketed as car drying towels that I felt did an OK job drying my car. The first time I used the Wooly Mammoth I was amazed at how well it worked. My other towels would become saturated very quickly and even with ringing them out frequently I would have to use several to dry my car. The Wooly Mammoth absorbed water much more completely than other towels I have used. As I put the unfolded towel on the roof to take the first "swipe" of water off it actually felt as if the towel was suctioned down to the roof panel. It really sucked up that water! Also, I was able to dry the entire car, (Dodge Challenger), with that one towel. I will add that I used a small microfiber towel to get into small areas, but the bulk of the car was dried using 1 Wooly Mammoth towel. I'm impressed with it and would recommend it. ... show more
