I’m obsessive with taking care of my car and I’ve tried a lot of products, started with Meguiars and nowadays my go to is Chemical Guys or Griot garage (tried many things in between) Blacklight: I love the gloss it gives, it is really worth it, one of my favorite products, the swirl and scratch hiding tech is not great, barely hides them, but I use it for the gloss it adds to the car, I also love how easy it is to remove. Black wax: This one is just ok, it does look good but nothing out of the ordinary, the photos attached are with this wax, what I like is that is a little easier to remove than proper carnuba paste wax, but from my experience it doesn’t last as long or adds a lot of water beading tech, but it’s a great compromise between looks and easy to apply, for what is worth I get the absolute best results from Collinite Marque D Elegance paste was, but it’s 5 times harder to remove. Other than that photos speak for them selves, considering my car is 5 years old it still looks like new ... show more

I love The Chemical Guys products and use them almost exclusively for all areas of my truck. My 2015 black Tacoma has been through a lot and with most black vehicles, there is some swirls in the finish along with blemishes that I should have professionally corrected. Until I can pull the trigger on that kind of expense, I’ve gone the route of trying products like this. The kit has more than enough product for several uses and I applied everything according to the directions. From other Chemical Guys products I’ve used in the past, I may have been expecting a little more than I got with this kit. The truck really shined nice and had a wet appearance but some of the swirls that should have been concealed were still obvious. That’s my only reason for 4 stars but I will still continue to use the product line. ... show more

So seeing a black car care kit my first thought was "really, special wax for black cars?" Every other Chemical Guys product performed up to claims so I picked it up. My car looked great after using this product but I didn't realize how good until I parked it next to another black car, see photo. I’m a huge fan of chemical guys and have tried other things that seem to just do the same thing the black car care kit you’re not going to get any better. I neglected my cars paint for about 2 years. After purchasing all Chemical Guys products - Optical Compound, Optical Cutting Polish, Optical Finishing Polish, Buffer Pads and this kit, the paint is almost 100% I was not completely happy after finishing the polishing. Some of the deeper scratches and swirls were still clearly visible. Using this black kit brought the paint back to an amazing deep, wet shine. I did 2 light coats of the glaze and 2 coats of the wax. Every imperfection with the exception of rock chips and 1 small key scratch are now invisible unless you are an inch away from the paint. Great kit! ... show more
