    • A great starter kit!!
I just bought a new car that is black and I decided it was time I took care of keeping my car clean so it always looked good. The kit has worked out wonderfully for me and I get my car nice and clean with confidence that I'm not using stuff that will harm my car's finish. I've done 4 car washes with the kit so far. The spray gun works really well. The wheel cleaner and brush work great to get my wheels looking really sharp with relative ease!! The bucket, spray gun, and the spray bottles all feel like high quality stuff. The mitt and towels are great also. A few nitpicks... This kit had all I needed except for something to clean the inside of the car. I picked up a bottle of Chemical Guys Innerclean Interior Quick Detailer. They should include that in this kit. It's pretty basic. I found the applicator for the Silk Shine protectant didn't work well on the inside of the car. It's better suited for the exterior like tire sidewalls. I ended up over-applying it resulting in some very slick surfaces from the excess. I picked up a small applicator to use in the future. Yes this kit is for washing the outside of the car, but some basic things to get the inside clean and shiny could easily be added rater than having to get it separately. I found I was going though the wheel cleaner WAY too fast and I watched much of it run down the wheel onto the driveway. Because it is a gel, it doesn't really spray. I found it far more efficient to rinse the wheel with the hose, soak the wheel cleaning brush, and give a couple of sprays of the wheel cleaner on the brush. This lathered up quickly and was more than enough to clean a wheel. With the Snow Foam auto wash, I found it sufficient to fill the spray gun half way to the "soap line" with soap and the rest with water. Otherwise I was going through far too much soap for a single wash. I haven't had a chance to use the butter wax or window cleaner yet. I’ll go over each product in this review- I honestly hate washing my car because it’s black, dirt will be visible on it right after it’s done being washed. Although this wash kit has made washing and keeping my car clean a lot easier. I’ve had this kit for a couple months now, you don’t need to use a lot of product to get good results in my opinion. Definitely worth the price. The foam gun is pretty easy to assemble and produces a lot of foam depending on the setting you have it on. As you can see from one of the photos that’s the left over foam on the lowest settings. As mentioned you don’t need to use a lot of the soap with the foam gun to get lots of foam, it’s helpful that the foam gun has line marker that lets you know how much soap you should be adding rather than just eyeballing it. The tire cleaner works pretty great too. I normally don’t make a big effort to clean my tires, I mostly just focus on maintaining my paint. The scent it gives off reminds me of toothpaste? But it leaves your tires pretty shiny and clean, I don’t think the pictures do it justice. Again you don’t really need to use a lot of the product to see results, it actually foams up as you brush it on so I guess it is somewhat like toothpaste for tires if that gives you an idea on how it works when it’s applied. It’s November now and I last applied the butter wax back around September and haven’t really felt a huge need to apply anymore until now. Of course that’s probably more of a preference thing and luck with the weather not wearing down the wax. It’s easy to apply and I feel it’s easier to buff off compared to other types of wax products. The interior shine is great too, has a nice clean scent to it. Not too strong, not too weak. Drys off nicely. Haven’t used the glass cleaner so I can’t say much on it. Rains a lot where I live around this time so I use a separate hydrophobic glass cleaner to repel water. Overall- great value. Mine came with stickers which I slapped on the bucket. The bucket is nice, you can either use it to hand wash or you can use it like I do and just have it to store all the materials in one place. ... show more

    • Love the products…but
I actually love the products so far. They seem to do a great job and exactly what I was looking for. The only reason I give 4 stars is 2 reasons. 1. Everything leaks. I knew this from the reviews. Most of the bottles leaked in transport so it was a mess getting everything opened. The hose connector leaks big time so I need to get a washer or something to prevent the water spraying everywhere. 2. There aren’t good detailed instructions. The “manual” spends most of the pages hyping up the product that I’ve already purchased. I still have no idea how much soap I’m supposed to put in the foaming bottle. The instructions say 1-3oz but I don’t know if I need 1 or 3 and on the bottle itself there’s a line that says soap but it would require way more than 3 oz’s. Also they give me all the application equipment but I don’t know how to use them and in what order lol. Idk I’m a novice at this, they told me they were going to charge me $400 to detail my car and I thought I could do it myself for $400. I was hoping for some guidance on how best to use the kit I guess. All the products smell good and the glass cleaner is a miracle, so happy overall. Would recommend. ... show more
