  • Comfortable, breathable, effective
Size: Small Color: Ocean Blue
Working in the bakery of a restaurant is hot and messy, this keeps me clean and cool. It's lightweight yet protective. The sleeves are thinner and that helps a ton with keeping cool. They are a bit on the long side, but I am kinda short, I simply roll them under and they stay fine. With having long sleeves, I'm protected from splashes. The body is a thicker material that is easy to wipe off when things get a little too messy. The zipper is heavy duty and the material is stitched together well. I'll be getting a ton of use out of this for a long time to come! ... show more

  • Super attractive. Slim fit. Pen/thermometer pocket on left bicep
Size: Small Color: Ocean Blue
These chef's coats are almost too attractive to wear in a hot kitchen. I no longer work in restaurant kitchens, but I used to. Back then we only had the loose, white cotton coats. I'm pretty sure they were unisex, too. As a smallish woman, it was hard to find uniforms that fit. This does fit me well. I'm 5' 4" with a 32D bust and I got a small. It fits well, although if I'd had the option, I would have ordered both a small and a medium to see which fit better. I'd say the small fits me similarly to what you see in the photo, so it was probably the right choice. The sleeves are easy enough to roll up and they stay put much better than traditional chef's coats do. The pen/thermometer pocket on the left bicep is a nice addition. The whole coat seems well thought-out and well-made. Despite not working in commercial kitchens, I couldn't resist this. I hate wearing aprons-I find them pretty useless for protecting clothing, and I thought I might like having some zip-up coats like these to throw over a shirt when working in the kitchen at home. The only thing I am uncertain about is how hot it would be in a restaurant kitchen. The material is partly synthetic. It reminds me of what's used to make fabric raincoats. It may very well be cool enough, especially with all the vents, but I can't really be sure. Being form-fitting makes it look nicer, but also would tend to make it hotter. Looser clothing is cooler in my experience. It's a beautiful jacket though. ... show more

  • Good Chef Coat with Interesting Features; Watch Sizing
Size: Large Color: White
As a home cook who dislikes aprons, I wear a chef coat when working in my kitchen. This coat appears well-made of a cotton-polyester blend and polyester mesh. It is styled for the female cook with a slight taper in the torso that creates a feminine silhouette. Unlike other chef coats that I’ve worn, this coat has a zipper closure instead of buttons. I was disappointed that the zipper starts hard at the bottom, but then zips up easily the rest of the way. Another unusual design feature is the mesh fabric on the sleeves and back yoke. The seller says this gives breathability to the garment, something that I expect would be welcome in the heat of a commercial kitchen. I am 5’5”, about 115 lbs., but I ordered this coat in size large. I will be wearing it in cooler weather, usually over a sweater or sweatshirt. When I saw it described as “slim fit” and consulted the size chart, I decided to order it in Large to make sure it would be roomy enough to fit over my other layers. Large does fit me properly, though the sleeves are much too long for my short arms, a problem easily solved by turning under the cuffs. I washed the coat in cold water and tumble dried on low heat, and it came through the wash fine. This is a well-made and utilitarian chef coat, just be careful when selecting your size. ... show more

  • Great jacket
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
Great chef jacket. Its super comfy and easy to zip and unzip with one hand. True to size I wear and fit perfect. The pockets are minimal and I like that. Love the color. When I push up the sleeves they stay in place. Super well made and a great price

  • Very comfortable and looks great
Size: Medium Color: Black
As an enthusiastic home cook and baker, I am not a fan of aprons but in an effort to avoid splattering flour/sauces/whatever on my clothing as I cook ordered this chef coat. I like the breathable material for the sleeves and back yoke which is a bit stretchy and doesn't make me feel restricted. The sleeves actually have a fair amount of room in them, which I'm a fan of. The jacket has a thermometer pouch on the sleeve for those who would want that, and is vented on the bottom at each side for more room (yay!). I ordered a medium (5'6" and 152); if I were to order again I might go up on the size, but it is still very comfortable and looks professional. I ordered a short sleeve coat -- same brand -- for comparison and this one is roomier even though they both are a size M. ... show more

  • Comfortable and light weight
Size: Large Color: Grey
I usually wear a standard chef's jacket when cooking (home cook that hates aprons), and so this jacket was a welcome alternative to the double breasted white jacket. First the color-- I ordered gray, but I find the color to be almost more dark blue than gray. I ordered a large (the size I normally wear) and though I wouldn't necessarily say that it's too small, it does lean toward a slim fit styling, so if you carry a bit more around the middle, it might be worth sizing up. I like how light weight it is-- and comfortable. The sleeves are a bit long, but do roll up just fine. It only has the small thermometer pocket on the sleeve; I do wish it had another pocket. Went through the wash just fine. ... show more
