    • Pretty, But Blade Style Clasp Not Good for My Ears

These are pretty, sterling earrings. I can find the tiny sterling stamp on them but it's too small for me to read, so I have to take on faith that they are sterling. The smooth part of the hoop is the front of the earring, and the textured part is the back, as you can see on the model. There are two drawbacks for me. I don't like the anti-tarnish finish. It makes them too shiny, and I like the patina that real silver develops. It's no heartache to polish once in awhile, less often if you wear them often than if they just sit in the jewelry case. My second negative is the blade-style clasp. If I wear these for very long, the clasp feels like it is biting into my ear, and I prefer the type with round wires. Perhaps your ears are not as wimpy as mine. There is no price at the time of this review so I don't know whether these will be a good value when they come back in stock, but if the two things I don't like don't bother you, you might like these quite a bit. ... show more

These are cute, but a bit flimsy and cheap looking. For a casual night out, they're wearable. For me, unfortunately, they reacted badly with my ears, so I can't wear them. First, the Charmsy hoop earrings don’t irritate my sensitive ears, so it’s a huge plus that I can wear them all day comfortably. Speaking of comfort, although they have a larger-sized diameter, they are lightweight and super easy to wear. Unfortunately, even though they are stamped with a “925” sterling silver insignia, the solid front looks substantial, but the back textured part looks a tad chintzy. Even with that being said, though, they exude a touch of elegance and can be worn for both dressy and casual occasions. These earrings come across as a nice pair of costume jewelry. Here’s my wife’s assessment: • Each hoop is 40mm in diameter, made of sterling silver. • The hoops are lightweight and the latch closes very securely. • The textured half of the metal creates an elegant design that’s versatile and easy to pair with any outfit. • The textured cuts are not as sparkly as other higher-end, silver jewelry that my wife owns. The quality is definitely more like costume jewelry, but still looks nice. • The hoops are packaged in 2 separate, plastic sleeves and placed within a rigid cardboard box. The box protects the product well and is good enough for gifting but again, this is not “high-end”. • Overall a nice, classic piece to add to your wardrobe if you like large hoops without the weight. ... show more
