This is a pretty starter item for young girls who want "real" jewelry but you don't want to spend a lot or worry they will lose it. The charm itself looks like the photo. It's small and dainty and very cute. The chain is super thin and cheap looking. It's fairly short. I gave the necklace to my 5 1/2 year old and she loves it. The chain is thin but appears fairly solid, and it's not so dainty that it will snap with the slightest tug.
