The manufacturer provides a packing box that protects them in transit and for storage. I say, use your common sense. Part of the reason you use flutes is to add a festive flair to your bubbly. You are not pounding down beer mugs at the local brew house. The elongated bowl and stem are delicate so dainty toasting is in order. So, take it easy.
