  • Not as easy as you think
I am 70 and let myself get out of shape after Covid, to the point of aggravating my sciatic nerve again. That made my exercise tapes painful on top of being hard for my out of shape body. After reading about the benefits of chair exercises, I decided to give this a try thinking these will be a breeze. They aren't! It is surprisingly strenuous (try jogging, swimming, boxing- while sitting, but I can complete it. Although for the first week, I did consider quitting about halfway through it. In week 2, I still have to push but it isn't a painful push, yet I feel the worked muscles the following day. I also believe that these exercises can be adjusted as I get stronger - stretch further, don't use hands to help stand, heavier weights, push the core harder, etc. I am doing this 3 times a week, am very happy that I bought it and would recommend it. ... show more

  • Pleasantly Surprised!
Initially, I was skeptical about trying this video as it is exercised seated. But then I read some of the reviews that said this workout is NOT for seniors and that it was too high intensity aerobic exercise. Since I am healing from a fractured ankle (and 8 months into the injury), I need and miss cardio! So glad I read the reviews because looking at the packaging, I assumed this was a VERY low impact aerobics session. NOT AT ALL! It's perfect to get my heart rate up and give me the exercise high I so craved but seated! Can't believe it. I'm just finding this tape and I needed this months ago.! Absolutely love this workout.   • Could use a little more instruction from Curtis.
It lives up to it's promise to be a good, fast paced cardio workout, and I love Curtis' enthusiasm. Who knew a seated exercise program could be so strenuous, but in a good way? My only complaint is he could be giving a little more instruction for first time users (like have hand weights handy before you start). I also found it confusing, because it's so fast paced, that you should be using opposite arm to opposite leg in several of the exercises. If he had mentioned it at the start, it would have been easier to follow. I got a little tired of pausing, then rewinding. Otherwise, I recommend it for those of us seniors who have difficulty with standing exercises. I promise it is a good workout for cardio, strength, and core training! ... show more

Curtis Adams is a joy to watch and follow along with. He goes at a good pace and fully explains what area each exercise targets. Highly recommend.

  • Just what I have been looking for
This DVD is just the chair exercises that I have been looking for. I have used this DVD about twice a week and was able to keep up with the exercises. I like the chair as I don’t have the greatest balance but want to stay strong as I age.

  • This is no joke!
So, I've gained 80 pounds in the last 2 years. I'm terribly out of shape so I chose this because I'm 46 and don't want a knee injury just as I'm starting back into exercising. I thought this was going to be pretty easy. WRONG! It's challenging enough to make me sweat and by the end of each set my muscles are fatigued. The instructor is clear and so encouraging. The 2 ladies in the background are older than me, but boy do they do great! We all have to start somewhere and this is a perfect starting point for me. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Excellent!!!!
My husband has Parkinson's Disease and is 73. I am 81. We have tried multiple sit-down exercises for seniors. This by far is the best one we have come upon. Curtis is encouraging to you to keep working and his exercises are just great. They get your body in motion and supple. We plan on doing his exercises three days a week. We really enjoyed the time and felt that we really worked out. Can not say enough about how good this DVD is. Try the disk and see for yourself.
