  • a great deal I ran into with Chaco adults sandals
Got my pair (color/patterns: florist) for $42, a great deal I ran into with Chaco adults sandals. First impression: cushions of the Chaco footbeds in the arch area are giving me similar feelings to my Nike Benassi Duo Ultra Slide Sandal’s ($40) - they’re very thick(or high?), with plenty of support to the feet. However, Chacos don’t seem to have the same amount of cushions in the heel area as the Nike’s do. And the Chaco footbeds are much more harder, with small square patterns that kind of massage the feet (in a good way). While the Nike ones feel more of foams - very soft to the touch, but probably will deform themselves fairly quick. Conclusion: both shoes are comfortable to wear. The overall built of Chaco classic is more solid than Nike’s, and the design makes Chacos definitely a better and safer option for outdoor activities. Nevertheless, I think the Chaco cloud models might be a nicer choice if softness of the footbeds is taken into consideration. At the meanwhile I’d also like to take the opportunity to compare the Chacos and my Sctcher Misty Morning sandals, since they are of similar style/made for similar purpose. First off, these two both have contoured footbed design, but the curves are very different thus offering different support in very different areas - Chacos offers strong support mainly in the arch area, while Skechers have medium support in the arch and the heel areas. Secondly, although comfortable as well, Skechers’ footbeds are of much less friction(might be less good for hiking or climbing), and not as much of close fitting to my feet as Chacos or Nike can be (side noted that I’m not flat feet) Third, the straps of these two are made of very different materials. The Chacos’ are comfortably silkily soft that they are made to be fully customizable (you’ll need to pull and push to tighten or loosen those straps in order to make the shoes fit). While the Skechers’ straps are stiff and rough - they can be customized as well at a certain level. But like other people have been complaining, the triangle parts connecting those straps of the Skechers really hurt the feet. Conclusion: Chacos and Skechers both make comfortable sandals, but Chacos feel more of high quality than Skechers - the design pays more attention to the details and the material choices are much nicer. I think I’ll still wear my Sketchers with socks on, but not with bare feet in summertimes. PS. It really takes time with Chacos to adjust the straps. If they’re not properly adjusted, the fitting will be very awkward: the shoes can look like they’re in wrong size, and your feet can be painful wearing them especially in the toe areas. But, once the adjustment is properly done, the wearing experience is top notch. PS. Size 5.5 sandals or pumps usually fits my perfectly. But with Skechers I wear size 5, so do I wear with Chacos. ... show more

  • Sandles
Size: 10 Color: Boost Black
The media could not be loaded. These are the best sandals ever they’re soft to wear. They are comfortable they fit your feet. The size is true to fit. If it says it’s a 10 it’s a 10 I wear Mon daily as you can tell in the video I have them on. These are the best sandals to buy ever they’re good in the water or out of the water. They’re good they stay on your feet. All you gotta do is tighten the straps down you can run in and everything. You can get them muddy and then throw them in the shower and wash them off. They are very durable. ... show more

  • Feels like good arch support
Size: 8 Color: Boost Black
Very good ability to customize fit of straps. There is a card in the box with the sandals that shows how best to adjust fit. The con is that the last strap used to tighten is pretty long and has to be tucked under another strap so it doesn't flap around. And I don't have narrow feet yet my right foot has no more space to tighten the straps. They seem to be a good size in the sole of the shoe. And are comfortable and cute. I'm worried that if the straps stretch I'll have no option to tighten the right side. The left still has a long tail but has room left to tighten if needed. ... show more

  • A great pair of Chaco sandals
Size: 8 Color: Thrill Purple Rose
I have 8 pairs of Chaco sandals - I recently purchased 4 new pairs. I returned 2 of them because I couldn’t get the straps to adjust correctly. But this pair is very comfortable and I love having the beautiful color. I have one pair that’s over 20 years old - they and another older pair are the best but I highly recommend Chaco sandals for versatility (in water and to hiking trails) and their durability. They are so worth the price and even better when you find them on sale!! ... show more

  • Very comfortable sandals with great support
Size: 10 Wide Color: Overhaul Blue
I have been trying to find sandals that are adjustable enough to accommodate my feet which have a high instep and also swell. These work wonderfully. I did notice that my feet are different widths in addition to having a .5 size difference. I have found them to be very comfortable. Occasionally, I will find that I haven't put the bands in the right place and they will irritate my foot until I adjust them. I haven't had any blisters from this though. ... show more

  • But now
Size: 6 Color: Boost Black
The strap drags on the ground when I walk. What do I do with all that extra strap when they’re on? I don’t have flat feet and I didn’t get the wrong size. Folks say to cut it but then it wouldn’t be able to keep from being pulled out of the buckle. Others say to tuck it in the back strap but I worry it’ll make my heels blister. Some say to roll it up and tuck it under the buckle but that means I’ll hafto pay attention while wearing them to adjust and re roll the strap. Some say to safety pin it and that seems the most secure but who wants to do that every time you wear them? Is this a design flaw? They are surprisingly heavy, the fit is perfect except for this long ass strap, comfortable once you get the concept of how to loosen and tighten the straps but that definitely took some time to figure out. The arch support is good. They are completely adjustable but again it leaves a long ass strap when tightened. Update: after about a week of daily wear these are literally rubbing the skin off of my feet. I can only wear them for about an hour before they start hurting. No I don’t have them adjusted too tight. ... show more

  • Chacos are the best!
Size: 9 Color: Boost Black
Love these sandals for causal, being outside at beach, lake, hiking, shopping. Or dressing them up and wearing them to work. They are so versatile. I got them muddy at the lake and washed them in the washing machine recently and they came out looking brand new. Definitely buy! Love the pattern on these! They go with everything. ... show more
