I had ankle surgery and it never got much stronger. The hard soul gives me the support I need and arch support too. Along with the hight around the heel and adjustable straps, it is the only shoe I can walk in comfortably.

I had never worn chaos. But, I have Plantar Fasciitis and was going to the beach for half of July. A friend who also has a foot issue told me to buy these. I'm SOOOO glad I did. I wore these every day and my foot never hurt! I'm a 7.5 but bought an 8 first. Then, repurchased in a 7. Perfect fit! My friend who recommended these bought my 8, lol! Great arch support, quality and comfort. Straps adjust perfectly to fit. Definitely worth every penny. And, the color is sooo pretty... goes with everything! ... show more

These took a day to become accustomed to, because I didn't have full leg extension--missing a couple of degrees--after surgery But the heel is ever so slightly lower than the toe, I doubt anyone else would notice it, but it made me straighten my leg completely. Wowed the PT. They are soooo xomfortable, fantastic arch support--both arches--and this color strap goes with absolutely everything. Very cushy for my thinning plantar fat pads, too. ... show more

I have had my Chacos for about a month now, and let me tell you, best purchase ever! They have been through a lot these last few weeks; camping, hiking, vacation, and so much more. As an avid birkenstock lover I was skeptical that these were going to live up to the hype of the Chaco name. Although I still cherish my Birkenstocks I have officially converted to Chacos and here's why: - Waterproof! I can wear them in the ocean on vacation to protect myself from sharp rocks. They are also so perfect for camping since you can simply rinse them off in a campsite sink or shower if they get muddy. - Support, these shoes have terrific support with minimal bulk. I have knee issues, and these have a perfect support but can still be packed without taking up too much room. -So cute! I get constant compliments on both my Chacos and the Chaco tan that comes with wearing them every day. - Extremely versatile, I can wear these everywhere. Hiking has been so much more enjoyable since they truly stick on your foot and move with you. MY #1 TIP: The reason these don't get five stars all around is due to the initial pain of getting them set up. THE STRAPS ARE ALL CONNECTED! They go through the sole! So simply pull on them going from the top down, and you can adjust every single strap. This was a game changer since they will be highly uncomfortable if you don't adjust them to fit your needs. Let me start off by saying I've been looking for years for the perfect sandal and have finally found it!! I dislike wearing shoes but traditional sandals don't have good support. Ive gone through atleast one pair of sandals a year, even the expensive "wear all day" sandals fall apart the same as cheap flip flops. I had a pair of Tevas before trying these and I loved them but they fell apart in less than a year which is very sad since they were $100 lol. Desperate I tried these because why not? These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn!! They are durable, have great support, fine in water, and they are so cute!! It's impossible to find all of those points in one sandal but here we are! I love how the straps work, so creative and no Velcro which is a huge plus! I am very satisfied but I should note I've only had these about a month so hopefully they hold together as my main shoe for more than a year. Although at the price point I'm ok with them not lasting forever, I'd happily buy another pair. ... show more

I didn't see any pictures of the navy on a foot, so I figured I'd share :) Love Chacos. Last backless pair of classics lasted like 14-15 years. Wanted to get the z1 to run around the wet grass with my puppy. These are perfect for that and nice enough to wear out and about. Typical Chaco comfort and arch support. ... show more

    • Fits okay when adjusted, but not super great.

I at first was a bit confused about adjusting the sandals, but eventually got it and got them to fit my feet. I have very thin feet and am a size 8, so I had to tighten it to the most it would let me, which still felt like it wasn’t entirely secure. They seem a bit uncomfortable with the placement of the arch, and I can imagine that they would cause discomfort or blisters from the strap in the back if you’re doing a lot of walking. They are very cute, but I can’t see them working for everyone. Although being able to adjust them is useful, the strap hangs so low that it ends up dragging against the ground, which is inconvenient. I feel they are made for wider feet, and not narrow or petite feet no matter the size. ... show more
