I have had great experience using these scrapers. They are a bit smaller than I was thinking, but they are actually a nice size. They are a hard plastic with a beveled edge on all sides making it so you can cut or scrape using a long straight edge, shorter edge or the curved side. Being hard plastic, they are still flexible with some pressure and return right back to being flat and straight as soon as you release that pressure. They have a good "seal" when you're scraping as well. I was actually playing with one just to see and there were a couple droplets of water in a bowl that I was moving around the bowl (on the curved inside of the bowl) with these scrapers, not leaving the water behind. The set of 5 in different colors is nice if you want to use certain colors for certain types of things, or just to have a variety of colors. Great little scrapers! ... show more

    • Flexible scraper comes in handy
While these scrapers are a little small to use in shaping my sourdough loaf, but they are great for scraping the sides of the mixing bowl, as they will bend and conform to the side of the bowl. I also used one to scrape down the side of my sourdough starter after feeding. This gets all the stuff off the side of the container and back down into the starter.     • Everything she expected - these work well
When my wife saw these, she snapped them up. She'd been looking for a tool to manage dough, and my suggestion of using auto part store Bondo spreaders didn't cut it. (Well...give me a break, o.k? These DO look kind of like Bondo spreaders to me... :) These are about as stiff as a Bondo spreader, too, but they are a lot nicer. The colors are cheery and kitchen friendly, and the size is just right for a variety of hand sizes. The finish of the plastic is first rate with no flashings or rough edges, and no molding marks or other imperfections. Right off the bat, they did the job, helping wifey shape a loaf of artisan bread with zero drama and good results. (Use flour, of course.) It is a plus that the edge is straight and sharp enough to cut thin doughs. Overall, nothing over-the-top amazing here - just a useful and practical tool for anyone doing much baking. p.s. Yes, these WILL work as a Bondo spreader, in a pinch. :-) Just make sure you grab her least favorite color if you do this, and get permission. Otherwise, there will be no baked goods for YOU! ha! ... show more

Next to my 8" chef's knife, these curved bowl scrapers are my second favorite tool in the kitchen while cooking and prepping food. These particularly are sturdy and rigid enough to complete all my bench scraper needs while be flexible enough to get the nooks of my mixing bowls. They are easily washed by hand nor have shown much wear and tear from the dishwasher. ... show more

    • Not very flexible
I bake bread and use dough bench scrapers all the time. I found these to be on the small side and not very flexible. It's okay as a bench scraper or dough cutter, but not very useful with a bowl. They are very stiff and do not bend at all to the contours of the bowl.. The price was very reasonable.

I’m a lefty and find it more comfortable to use two small dough scrapers instead of one larger scraper. These dough scrapers significantly reduced the messiness when making no knead or shaggy yeast bread. Essy to clean and store. Great way to get kids into the kitchen and exited to learn how to cook! I don't bake that much but these are handy in baking and also in some crafts. The price is right and a five pack is more than adequate for most anyone. The plastic is stiff and one edge is sharpish for cutting through dough or clay. They wash well in the dishwasher. The scrapers have a little texture to them which makes them easy to hold onto. I put several of these to good use over the holidays. I made so many breads, caramel rolls, orange rolls with raisins, Lucia buns, Almond Tea Ring among others.
