I felt motivated to write a review for these gloves, a pair that I bought almost two years ago, but last night I probably put them more to a test than I have previously and was very happy with how they performed. These gloves were purchased as a general pair of winter gloves, meant to deal with Maine winters when outdoors, and generally that is how I've used them. They aren't winter work gloves or meant for more specific use like snowmobiling, skiing, etc. If I am stacking wood or doing anything more demanding, these aren't the gloves I wear. If I go for a hike or snowshoe in the snow, I'll wear these. And they've been great for this purpose, always keeping my hands warm and dry. As noted, I feel like I put these gloves to their biggest test last night. I headed out to a family cabin during a light snow, not considering how much heavier the snow would be within a 20 mile stretch of road that runs through the mountains. The 1 hour 20 minute drive ended up being a 3 hour crawl. As the car became more and more squirrely on the layer of wet snow covering the road, I decided it was worth finding a spot to stop and put the tire chains on. The tire chains I bought 8 years ago and have never used. Futzing in the dark, reading and rereading the directions to make sure they were put on correctly. Clearing the snow from inside my fenders, handling the metal chains, pulling on the tensioner chain to get everything on tightly. And the gloves still look great and did all I needed - the outer layer were soaked through but I never felt a bit of cold or wet on my hands within the inner lining. The leather palm section held up great with all the pulling full force on the chain tensioner, no tears or damage. For the price of these gloves, very happy! ... show more

    • Needs some upgrades
Gloves fit well but for someone like me with trouble using body movements putting them on can be hard. There's know straps for pulling once one is on.know way to buckle the wrist peace around so cold or wet does not get in.there was a little room at tips of fingers e en tho my hands were all in.they also did seem abit more bulky than needed.but that's me.perhaps it's because I us a wheelchair battery aromantic with joystick.they are warm I don't feel basic wind.would work for winter were i live if carful. ... show more

My job requires me to work outside in all types of weather and these work great for when we get cold weather! It keeps my hands warm and that's all I need! The only downside is that they do not work with our company handhelds that I have to use outside, but I would not consider that a huge downside since they are garbage half the time. ... show more

The gloves are decent for cold weather, but in New York’s windy winters (around 32°F), they fall short. The wind easily penetrates, leaving my fingers feeling cold. Have not bought a pair of gloves in 20 years. Went to Amazon and found these for $14. Thermal 3M insulated and waterproof. Made for extreme cold weather? Well, I put these to the test. Though they run a little small, my best cold weather investment. Bought these for my trip back east and the 30-40 degree weather. Surprised at how nice these are. I have never written a review on a product but these gloves rock! My hands stayed warm outside. No frozen fingers and the gloves are actually comfortable. Love the fact that they protect your wrist and keep any cold air from getting into the glove from your wrist area. Though they look a bit bulky in the photo there really not that bad. Worth every penny..... ... show more

These gloves fit really nice and snug on my hands, just the right size and not obnoxiously heavy or bulky. The quality and appearance are great, while the 3M Thinsulate material does an excellent job of keeping my hands warm. Most importantly, these gloves are breathable and waterproof. I had little difficulty using my phone's touchscreen while wearing them. The clip that holds the gloves together when not in use is very convenient. They even come in an attractive slide-seal bag.     • Great work gloves
I work as an Aviation Line Technician in Wisconsin, and spend most of my night outside. These have held up well to exposure to jet fuel, aviation gasoline, and various oils and greases, as well as some punishing weather. The windchill dropped to -2(F) this week and they definitely were starting to let the chill in, but they have been rock solid other than that. With these gloves on, I can open fuel caps, operate finger switches, handle dipsticks, maneuver passenger baggage, and write fairly legibly. After 5 years in the aviation field, these have the best balance between warmth and dexterity. Waterproofing has been highly effective. I have had zero luck operating a touch screen, but I wasn't concerned about that so 5 stars from me. ... show more
