I scoured the internet and Amazon looking for cheap artificial grass. It is virtually impossible to find. Eventually I stumbled onto this product and I ordered two sets in the 12-inch by 24 in. It arrived folded up in large boxes so I was worried that it would be wrinkled when we laid it down but it wasn't an issue and there were no visible lines due to the folds. It is a rich green color which adds some nice flare to our outside area. However in certain light and up close it can have a slight Christmas tree appearance. Sometimes it can just look a bit wet like if the grass is watered and it's shimmering in the sun which is a nice effect. Long story short you get what you pay for and if you're on an extremely tight budget this can be a really good solution for you until you can afford a major upgrade. I liked that it wasn’t as expensive as the the other mats offered, it easily drains liquid and it if there is substance that dries on it, it is easy to pick up without the artificial turf coming off. I use it personally for my dogs outdoor mat so he can use the bathroom. I could fasten it down onto a pallet so it would drain, easy to hose off. The only thing is the artificial turf is short and rough. I didn’t think about how it could be abrasive to my dogs paws. Some pieces may get caught in an animals foot or end up in the digestive system. I didn’t think of that beforehand. ... show more

We are so happy with these we ended up buying a second one. I was concerned that they might blow away in some of the heavy winds we have experienced at that house but everything was fine. I did use nails to keep the edges down but fewer nails then what was recommended. These are pretty heavy rolls.
