I bought this refurbished one to replace an older version that had broke. It looks and preforms like new. The only difference was the solar attachment port is different then the previous version so I had to buy an adaptor. I do love my ring cameras but there are a few times that they don't pick up movement that they should have which is important to me. But for the price and the features that ring offers, it's the best affordable option. Easy install, easy to use App, affordable, clear pictures, captures a wide area, lots of settings you can personalize. Definitely invest in the solar panels, battery drains too quick but after I bought the solar panels I have never had to charge my battery. ... show more

I bought the ring door bell and it lasted 1 year. I upgraded to the Spotlight Cam Plus in Feb 2024 and the Camara stopped working already. Device health states on line yet no Camara feed. Click on live view it states can't connect. Check health again it states on line. Not easy getting support Update to review. Did not like automated response but once I spoke to a Ring representative they were great. Replaced the Camara right away. Thank you ... show more

First, I have lots of RING products, maybe one or more of each, and they uniformly perform perfectly well, and are a sinch to install. So smart. But i had never bought a 'refurbished' one and figured to give on outside camera (battery operated) a go. Well, its a RING product and I see no difference at all in it being 'refurbished'.     • Ring is WORST Customer Support Ever!

I ordered the ring spotlight camera plus with plug-in option on Amazon. I have bought Ring products on Amazon before, but this time when I received the product, the power cord would not connect properly. I called Ring support and they suggested I received a power cord which is no longer supported by Ring and that I should call Amazon to replace it. I then sent a picture of the adapter with the Ring logo on it so it was clearly a support Ring product even though Ring support implied I was not using a supported power cord. They finally offered to send me a URL to re-order the same power cord and gave me a refund on my Ring subscription. I won't know if this fixes the issue until I receive the new power cord, but this is a terrible answer. Here is the RIGHT answer: "Hi, Mr. Customer, I see you ordered the Ring....... I understand you are having a power cord issue, let me send you a new one overnight through Amazon." That did NOT happen. Doesn't Amazon own Ring? I was treated like my purchase came from the worst Amazon vendor ever when in fact they are OWNED by Amazon. Amazon needs to fix this or I will find another home security vendory. ... show more

The first camera sent just refused to join our wifi network. I returned it and got a replacement. This one behaved just like all Ring products, this was a piece of cake to set up. It also works just like it was brand new, so I'm pleased I got it. I don't know how Ring quality checks their returned products planned for "remanufactured" sale, but they need to be sure to check for wifi functionality, for sure, before offering them for sale. ... show more

I was a bit hesitant about buying a certified refurbished product, but the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus exceeded all my expectations! The camera arrived in perfect condition—honestly, I couldn’t even tell it wasn’t brand new. Setup was a breeze, and the battery life is excellent. The spotlight is super bright, and the video quality is crystal clear, both during the day and at night. I love the motion detection features—it’s very responsive, and the two-way audio is clear and reliable, which makes me feel much safer. Plus, the fact that I can access everything from my phone is a huge convenience. It’s also weatherproof, so I don’t worry about it in bad weather.     • Can't tell the difference from new, except for the price!

TLDR: The camera looked new and worked like new. They are really easy to set up, this one had a small label inside on the quick start menu that I scanned with the Ring app to add it to my system. Connected, ran an update and works perfectly! Long version: I wanted to add a camera to my side garage entry door, mostly to see what critters are trying to raid my trash cans at night. I always see the neighbor's motion lights going on and off at odd hours which covers the same area. When I check the driveway cam I often see trash pandas, opossums, rabbits, even the occasional armadillo or bobcat making it's rounds. I enjoy seeing the parade at night and always hope I don't have to witness the food chain in action (so far so good!). I had to put a latch on the trash can as the trash pandas (raccoons to some) were getting into them. I left a can out front one night and watched one do a full on gym rat pull up on the handle, climb onto the lid and do a spiderman/ninja move hanging over the edge to open the flip lid. They go in and grab the loot and then prairie dog it to check for danger before decorating the lawn with egg crates and take out containers. Now I can watch these antics, commercial free with the cans put away where they belong. It might deter burglars too, I guess, but luckily we don't get much of that in my area. It's like watching Hans and Franz from SNL, spiderman, Jackie Chan movies and Guardian's of the Galaxy, uncensored and commercial free, right in my own yard. ... show more
