  • Epiphany and resurrection of an venerable important text
I have 3 (including editions 1 & 5) of this ground breaking text by Glen C Nelson. It seems the driving force behind this new and spectacular presentation of edition 6 is Richard Burkett. His fingerprints are all over the glaze section among others. This volume is a MUST HAVE AT ALL COSTS for any novice and master potter alike. I now have a new "Bible" for my studio. Special thanks to Glen Nelson who has inspired millions of us with his dynamite dedication to teaching and setting a stellar height of perfection to our craft. He is a living legend in my mind and soul. ... show more

  • Good book.
This was a good copy for the college class and came on time. I have another review earlier that stated it wasn't in good condition. But that was the other book for the college semester for my daughter. My apologies for the wrong review before.

  • Positive experience
This is a required school book, not a reading book for pleasure. It is written to inform and educate. It arrived in plenty of time for the school term and in good condition, as promised.

  • Much better than what I thought!!!
Ordered a used book and thought it would be covered with notes, markings, torn pages, etc., but it was great. Only a few page curls, but not a mark in the book itself. GREAT BUY.

  • Pottery
Although this book was published in the '70's, it still has very valid information for beginner potters. I highly recommend this book to anyone that does pottery!

  • "Required" for community college class
This was a "required" book for my class, but the college was charging $90 for it. When the teacher heard that, she told us all that it wasn't worth that. When I said I got it for about $30, she said it was definitely worth it for that much and was a great book to have. However, from flipping through it hasn't really caught my interest (pictures are all black and white and seem out of date), and I haven't actually needed to use it. ... show more

  • Great for college class
Needed this book for college course. Ordered used, still in good shape, not perfect but nice.
