I live in a high rise about a half mile from the ocean and wanted to be able to see into the ocean, the bird sanctuary nearby, and other faraway objects. It certainly does the trick on that front. It was easy to assemble. The instructions were pretty good. Not sure yet about the cell phone attachment that allows you to take pictures via your phone. I have a small phone and had trouble fitting my phone in the attachment with the case on. I could barely get it to fit with the case off. Unless I'm just not using it right, no one with any sort of XL phone would be able to use that attachment. But overall, very nice product for the price. ... show more

We love this telescope. We bought this for our 9yr old son but we have all gotten use out of it. We have captured so many amazing moon pics & the fact that you can save the pic right to your phone is all the more sweeter. Definitely recommend.

If you are looking for a budget friendly telescope, then this is the one for you. The item arrived on time and well packaged. Out of the box you get a book bag/organizer for the telescope for easy transport if you are hiking into a spot. It came with a phone mount to place right on the eyepiece to get great photos if you'd like. The tripod it came with also has a balance bubble, along with a compass for easy setup. I haven't had the opportunity with a bright moonlit night to take it out and really get a good look. But after having used it to look through in daylight, the image quality is good for a telescope at this price point. If you are looking for an affordable, easy to use telescope to use with kids, that doesn't break the bank, and gets the job done, then this is the one to get. If you are a professional photographer looking to get that perfect shot of the night sky, you'll want to spend a little more money. Overall I'm pleased with the item. I got this telescope such that I can view saturn or pluto from my backyard. I was too to complicated to do the setup. It has numerous parts and it took too much time for me to assemble it. Also, once the setup was done, I was not able to see planets clearly in the sky.

Very easy to build and set up. The materials its made of is very good quality, feels premium. My son loved it and I myself are learning with him about astronomy. I would recommend to anyone looking for a good telescope, and is a beginner to this, dont look any further.
