I am not sure how these were allowed to even be made, they are actually dangerous to skate in. Rental skates are 100% better. I have been skating for 40 years and played women's ice hockey. Now that I am 60, I just wanted to have a comfortable pair of skates to just kick around in and I gave my daughter my great hockey skates. For some reason all the pro shops around me have closed (after Covid I guess) and I cannot find a place to buy a decent pair of recreational skates. These are not them. The ankle area is HUGE and stiff and does not conform to any ankle size because there are no grommets on the upper boot which is what allows one to crank down the top of the skates around your ankles to give adequate support for safe skating. There are only little holes (like on a tennis shoe) to put the laces through and then it is impossible to tighten the skates enough around the ankle to make it safe for skating because there is NO ankle support at all. I can practically take the skates off without unlacing them because they are so huge around the ankles. Who designed this piece of junk? I don't usually have time to write reviews but I feel it is necessary to warn people that these skates would be SO dangerous to skate in unless your natural ankle circumference is about 18 inches. These are definitely going back asap, and I paid full price 2 weeks ago, I noticed they are now half the price probably because everyone is sending them back. Don't buy, what a hassle to have to send something back when my time is so limited, but now I have to go find a UPS store. Save your money and time. ... show more
