Everything you need for simple at home screen printing BUT it lacks the most important item... The dang tray thing to apply the emulsion to the screen .. better off just using vinyl with these screens

    • Good starter kit. Consumables are on the low end, but the hardware is better than expected.
The hardware justifies the price for this kit. The included screens and light are of good quality. The squeegee is acceptable, but more ergonomic options are available. Still, this is fine for starting. The disposables are a bit on the low quality side. Once you get the hang of the process, and have used up the included emulsion, you'll be plenty surprised by the quality and durability of some other brands of photo emulsion. Though I haven't tested half tone artwork with the included emulsion, based on the fragility during washing, I don't think a half tone image would survive. The included ink is actually fine for fabric... but know that fabric ink is thick and requires firm and steady squeegee skills. As you begin to screen print things that aren't fabric, you will need an ink that works on that medium. The included UV light and the screens themselves are better than expected. This kit includes almost everything you need, except a printer and printer transparencies and some fabric to print on. Like most starter kits there is room for improvement, but materials and consumables can wait to be graduated until skill improves. ... show more

If you want to waste money buy this. Was gonna make Christmas presents for my family and it just didn’t work. Honestly you would have better luck drawing on the shirts with marker

Easy to use. Comes with everything you need for a beginner. I would recommend this set to start off with.

    • Thick inks
My hubby bought this for me because I wanted to start screen printing. Upon first use, I found the inks I received were extremely thick and honestly required a plastisol reducer to even make them useable. The photo emulsion that came with was also extremely water sensitive so when I went to rinse my screen after exposing the design, the emulsion would start to wash away as well despite being completely dry when I went to do the exposure. On the plus side, the UV light kit that came with along with the screens, squeegees and other tools were quite nice. If this kit was sold just as the set up kit without the inks and emulsion, and about $40 cheaper it would definitely be worth buying. ... show more
