I received the item about a week ago and stupidly did not check to make sure that it worked until wrapping it the night before it’s to be gifted: the product did not turn on. It states batteries included, but I decided to unbox it and check the batteries since it’s meant to be gifted in the morning and I don’t have time for a replacement or return. The batteries were rotted and the compartment full of battery acid. The truck itself has many dings and little scratches. It honestly looks used, the battery issue is the worst of it though. My husband cleaned everything out and replaced the batteries and we will still be using it because it’s for our own toddler, but I wouldn’t be comfortable reboxing and gifting it outside of our family. One of the levers to move the claw broke within six months of light usage by an under 2 yr old. They made the lever out of plastic, should have been stronger material

This excavator arrived in a sealed package. But when we opened it we discovered it has a blue scratch on the body, dirty underneath, a rusted screw, no battery pull tab to activate the battery, and it is not making the sounds it should make when the tan is pulled. When the battery compartment was opened there were 3 corroded batteries in it! How am I supposed to take this toy from my little boy and return it when he has been anxiously watching and waiting for it! Edited to add It has now stopped making noise altogether. Changed the corroded batteries and cleaned all the components. It worked for a day. Stopped working again. Changed the batteries again, just in case. No go. Still does not work!!! My grand just doesn’t understand why it won’t work. Frankly, neither do I. ... show more

My little guy waited all day for this excavator. We opened it at 2:40PM and at 2:43 PM it was broken. Plastic crap, I'm so disappointed.
