  • Great for commuting.
Pattern Name: Single
Great little mirror for commuting. My work commute consists of a ride through neighborhoods and the city, as well as getting on an express bus and then riding the rest of the way to the office. Great mirror to see upcoming vehicles as well as fellow cyclists without having to always crane my neck over my shoulder to see behind me. Small enough so you’re not advertising your cycling nerdiness, but works well enough for making your ride a little safer. Attaches easy and is pretty solid when installed with the mirror being pretty stiff so that it takes a bit of force to move or adjust it - basically, it stays put. Keep in mind that on straight bars like mine, you are extending your width by adding this to the end of your bar and is subject to being clipped or damaged by another bike when you have yours on a side-by-side bicycle carrier like on the front of a bus or splitting traffic downtown. Other cyclists loading or unloading their bikes and knocking your side mirror out of whack or even popping the mirror portion off can happen so be aware of this. Takes a few minutes of riding to get used to looking at the end of your bar to see behind you, but it works. Cateye makes a good product and this is one I can recommend. ... show more

  • Near perfect for commuting
Pattern Name: Single
I installed this on my Trek e-bike used for daily commuting. It's quite small and unobtrusive but gives a good view behind. I installed one on the left handlebar, no need for one on the right. I wouldn't make any big decisions based on what you can see, but it does exactly what I wanted and that was to give me an idea of whether anyone was coming up behind me. Recommended if you want something small and unobtrusive that does what I described. ... show more

  • A little smaller than I expected.
Pattern Name: Single
I little smaller than expected!. But still a good product. I use it on my road bike and it’s definitely better than nothing 😊

  • Excellent addition to Varia radar. Slightly convex.
Pattern Name: Single
As a mature rider who values my health, safety is important while riding. I also love the beautiful look of my high-end carbon frame road bike. I have Garmin's Varia radar which is itself an awesome product. It tells you how many cars are approaching, how fast, etc. (FYI, I have the RVR315 and you'll find many glowing reviews of this online.) Because of arthritis in my neck turning my head sharply to look back is not an easy (or sometimes even possible) option. The Cateye mirror just adds the missing piece to this puzzle. It's small enough to be subtle and not mess up the clean lines of my sleek looking bike. Yet it's just large enough to get a pretty good view of the cars that are close so you know which lane they are in and how big they are. (The radar doesn't differentiate motorcycles from 18-wheelers.) The radar does let me know there's something there, how many (it stops counting at 8), and how fast. It basically tells me to look in the mirror if more info is required. Some reviews say the mirror is convex and others say flat. (Maybe they make them both ways? It would be nice to choose if they do!) Mine is a little convex so I get a good view of several lanes of traffic. It's not very good for long distances but the Varia radar has me covered there surprisingly well. The important thing to me is the mirror is clear and not distorted. I generally prefer flat mirrors but this slight convex shape is working for me. It's easy to mount on any normal handlebar and stays put. I just rode 26 miles which included plenty of bumps in the road and, once set initially, never had to readjust the mirror even a single time. I've not experienced any vibration issues either. If I did not have the radar this mirror would be just adequate for seeing things further back. With the two products working together I feel pretty confident I know what's going on behind me on the bicycle. ... show more

  • The mirror is always coming off!
Pattern Name: Single
It pivots only a small amount t and then it pops right off. It almost feels like it is too tight. Super bummed by this mirror!

  • Love it
Pattern Name: Single
After checking out different options,(large mirror mounted on top of bars, helmet mirror, etc), decided to try the one. We have a winner, easy to install, easy to adjust and non intrusive. I always have good luck with cateye brand. Also have tried their computers, reflectors, and bells with great results. Installed on a folding bike that is my daily driver. Love cateye ... show more

  • Small, effective, and adjustable
Pattern Name: Single
This did the trick on my road bike. Easy to mount, stays in place, adjustable, and large enough to see cars behind you.

  • Does it purpose nicely
Pattern Name: Single
It fits in snugly and is adjusts just fine. Basically as advertised. It's small, but you knew that when you decided to buy it. So because it's small you can't see perfectly a million miles away. But, you can see the vehicles coming up behind along with other riders, etc. pretty clear. It's not in the way like the larger mirrors (which quite honestly, just look a bit weird with all of the weird designs out there) and so far, it's smaller size is working just fine. ... show more
