First tried the Cinnamon Toast flavor on vacation - picked it up at the Costco in Kona, Hawaii. We got a decent-sized bag for keeping in the hotel for a quick breakfast; it was a larger single bag - maybe 12-15 oz. and I don't recall the price but do recall thinking it was a bit "pricey" but not overly extravagant. Can't find it online at Costco in my ordering area, so came to Amazon... I was surprised at the size of the bags when the pair (Cinnamon Toast and Dark Chocolate) I ordered arrived! A 9 oz bag is small. There are seven 1/2 cup servings per bag. Fine for me, but I have two teen kids and a husband - one bag is polished off in one breakfast - and that's a pricey CEREAL breakfast! As for taste, we really like both of these flavors. As one previous reviewer mentioned, yes, the sweetness is that of Stevia; but I find it's not that strong (there's monk fruit sweetener in there too). The flavors of Cinnamon and Chocolate are subtle, but definitely there and I like that. I was never a super-sweet or big-brand-flavored cereal lover; my taste runs more towards less-sugary granolas and plain whole-grain-flakes type cereals; so I found both these flavors really enjoyable. I enjoy the cereals with Almond milk and the rest of my family with cow's milk - the bits stay crunchy to the very end! I'd love to purchase this cereal regularly, but it's too expensive for what my family goes through all too quickly. These two flavors are a solid choice for anyone who likes Cinnamon and Dark Chocolate, and can stick to eating the serving size or just can afford this price for a cereal. ... show more

I wanted to like both flavors is this pack. the cinnamon was very good and I would order again. However, the chocolate was terrible. There was no really detectable chocolate flavor. Therefor a five for the cinnamon and a one for the chocolate.

THIS IS NOT REGULAR CEREAL. The flavor of this cereal is really good, it smells great. For me it was really crunchy, verging on hard and I didn't let it sit very long so I don't know if it would have gone very soggy. To me, it tastes better with real milk if I can fit it into my macros, which is possible with the small serving size. The serving is small so use a small or shallow bowl. It's really just to satisfy that craving for a bowl of cereal, not to replace your daily 2 cups of cereal with a whole cup of milk. If you're not doing low carb or keto just buy a box of Special K or something because that's better than buying this just to complain about the price or texture and lower the rating on it. It is a small portion and package compared to regular cereal, but it has completely different ingredients and a different manufacturing process than regular cereal. Regular cereal is pretty much just sugar and air, that's why it's cheap. Remember that. Don't buy things you can't afford. The size of the package is indicated on the bag, so if the price per ounce is too high for you then don't buy it, even if you're keto, even if your friend or your favorite influencer bought it. If you don't like the price don't buy it. If you keep saying "for what I paid this better be this and that!" don't buy it. If you're having a craving for cereal that's so strong it's threatening to derail your progress on your low carb journey try this if you have the money. ... show more

I don’t like this as a cereal replacement and I gave up cereal two years ago anyway so that’s not an issue. However don’t let the reviews scare you away. I just made the most delicious Keto “pretzel” Jello salad that uses these in place of the pretzels, and in that dish with all the combined flavors this is phenomenal. It is tastier and more satisfying than the loaded with sugar/pretzel version. And the original recipe only really has a good crunch to the pretzel crust the first day. After that it’s more soft and soggy. But THIS stays crunchy in the crust for days. All around a much more delicious jello desert now. I’m so happy to have this favorite dish back on our menu thanks to Catalina Crunch. I can make other graham cracker crust pies and deserts using this now and that is totally fun. ... show more

I was excited based on reviews, but this stuff is gross. Especially the chocolate one. The Cinnamon Toast is palatable, but I couldn’t get anyone in my house to say that the chocolate was ‘ok.’ This is probably ok for those with no tastebuds or ‘Jonesing’ for a chocolate fix and saying they are being healthy.
