I got this for my 5yo son. He loves spidey and art so I think he will enjoy this. It comes with little ziploc baggies to keep the "diamonds" in when taking a break. I'm not sure if he will have the attention span for it at this age but I won't mind helping with it. It looks fun! It's a good price for a gift and so many options to choose from! ... show more

I've never done a diamond painting kit before, so I wanted to to start out easy, and with my grandson. My biggest complaint with this kit is the lack of instructions. I kept looking for a piece of paper but, as seen in picture 2, they're in microscopic print at the bottom of the canvas. I almost peeled the plastic off the picture but I noticed that it was sticky before I got it all the way off. My grandson watched his mom do one of these and had some advice, but it would've been nice to have been able to actually read them first. I had to look at a YouTube video for the basics. I didn't even know what the waxy red stuff was for. We did eventually get going on it and after a few rough starts we got it done. But this would've been a lot more fun if we could've just read the instructions on a piece of paper like every other craft kit I've come across. ... show more

I love diamond painting, and these little kits with frames are my favorite. I know they're intended for kids, but this size is perfect for me to do in the time it takes to watch/listen to a movie and the sparkly gems just make me happy. I like that when you're done there is a frame all set and ready for your picture and it is a great gift to give someone. Sadly, the frame in my set came broken. I have a few kits from this company and all of my other frames are fine, but this one clearly got smashed somewhere along the line. It is quite disappointing because the frame is the main reason that I pick kits like this one to either buy or review. I can probably clamp it with some glue and then bedazzle or decoupage the frame so it looks okay. Aside from the busted frame, the kit is great. We have lots of Marvel loving friends and I couldn't resist the cute Thor picture. The gems are shiny, the diagram on the picture is clearly labeled and easy to read, the adhesive is strong (I lifted the film and touched it), and I am looking forward to putting this together. ... show more

I'm an adult who is new to diamond painting, I didn't want to get a huge diamond painting and then never finish it so this kid's option was perfect! It comes with everything you need, the directions are a bit lacking but it's easy to pick up. Poke the little red wax square with the stylus, then poke at a diamond to pick it up, then gentle dab the diamond onto the corresponding circle. You don't need to press hard on anything, and the wax lasts for a few diamonds before you need to poke the wax square again. It didn't come with enough little baggies to put the extras in, but it's not the end of the world. They give you tons of extra diamonds incase you're like me and dropped them everywhere and lose a few lol I liked making this cute little Stitch diamond painting and even purchased another, larger painting because I enjoyed doing this one so much. ... show more

I have been doing diamond painting for years. Over time, my 7 year old has watched me and has wanted to do his own. The ones I typically do are complex with small pieces and time consuming. I never let him do his own for these reasons. I saw this one and loved immediately that it is significantly smaller, and has a variety of sized 'diamonds'. He also loves spiderman, so I had no reason to not buy this! The day it arrived, he instantly wanted to begin. He sat at the table and worked on it for HOURS. A SEVEN YEAR OLD. I was so happy that he was working on something that wasn't related to technology. He would get frustrated at times and take a small break but he kept returning to it. I love that the set comes with a frame so he can display the finished product! All of my finished ones are just sitting in a corner. Highly recommend!! ... show more
