Had a set of these mounted on the front (25×8-12) and rear (25×10-12) of my '03 Kodiak 400 4x2, to replace the hardly worn OE Maxxis tires (you read that right, very low hours). The old tires being 20 years old I decided it was time for some new meats. These tires have a fat, wide, round profile and really up the traction factor. Additionally, in spite of an aggressive tread pattern for loose surfaces like mud or gravel, they also provide a very smooth ride on hard-packed surfaces as well, with tire pressures set to owners manual recommendations. Carlisle Black Rocks are amazing overall tires. They are some of the best I have ever used on an ATV. The ride smoothness on regular dirt roads are amazing and the mud lugs are long enough for extreme riding. This is my 2nd set because I liked the ride ability of the tires. I would say that you won't regret the tire if you purchase. I would also add if there is a down side then it would be the sidewall thickness. I had to put a plug in one of my side walls but the plug took a second to install and held great. Other tires have thicker side walls but that compromises the ride comfort. I highly recommend the Carlisle Black Rock as the best over all tire I've used vs. other tires my friends utilize. Buy these now. ... show more
