I bought these shirts on a whim after randomly looking at the "Best Sellers" section. I've always loved Carhartt products but mostly had experience with cold weather clothing (jacket, winter hat, etc.). I gained some weight and was getting so sick of the inconsistency in t-shirt size between brands. An XL would be comfortable with one brand and then would feel like Spandex with another. I liked the idea of a comfy loose fitting shirt, but I still went with XXL when I ordered these shirts because, again, I was cautious after my recent experience. Normal XL would have been the better choice, and still been the loose fit I was looking for. Besides them being a little bigger than ideal, I wear these every single day I have a chance. Super comfortable, breathable, yet the material feels so much thicker than most of the stuff we're used to companies making nowadays. So basically, the shirts are amazing, and true to size. Excellent shirt - durable, pleasing to wear, easy to care for. However, I live in Colorado -- the shirt is good for eight colder months out of the year, but I really cannot wear it once the temp goes over 80 degrees. Once again, "Heavyweight". This shirt, as is typical with the Carhartt brand, is extremely durable and rugged. It is unusually thick for a shirt, not a negative, at least for me, but it is not a light, breathable shirt. It will keep you nice and insulated. These shirts do size a little high. I ordered an X-Large at first but it looked like a mini-dress on me, so quickly sent it back in for a Large, which fit much better. If you're not a fashion focused human, and just want a shirt to keep you insulated from the cold, to be able to withstand wood chips, sparks, various bits of food and drinks being spilled, then this is the shirt for you. ... show more
