I am in love with this coat and happy I invested the money. I bought it to wear on a flightline in freezing weather. It has been subjected to months of cold, rain, snow, jet fuel, oil, and grease. I love the fact that I can slide my arms out of this coat without my shirt sleeves catching. The bill of the hood is pretty stiff. When it’s down sticks into the back of my neck. I just folded it back and it doesn’t bother me as much. The coat is great for blocking windy conditions. I also like the fact that it doesn’t have that annoying elastic waist band. It does have adjustable shock cords to cinch up if I need to. The sherpa lining isn’t super soft at first but will eventually soften up after breaking it in. The inside pocket is big enough for a large iPhone. Great jacket!! I bought the black one because it was $50 cheaper than the other colors. I think it looks great on me. Very happy. ... show more

I ordered this cost on accident and I’m happy I did. I never would have purchased this cost otherwise. I live in utah and I work outside year round I’m on call 24 hours a day and I have to go rain or shine. This coat does the job for me. It’s tough enough for work and it stands up to the weather, wind, rain, snow, snow rain and wind all at the same time. I stay dry and warm. Purchasing this coat is the best mistake I’ve ever made. Larger than normal Carhartt sizing; a little short; hood is a little large; only one (small) interior pocket; heavy-ish. None of the negatives are extreme or excessive, only minor whining. Excellent for outdoor use in cold, rain/snowy weather. Easy to move in, plenty of room for layers. Tough, durable, expect it to last for several years. Carhartt warmth rating accurate. This is not a really warm garment, even with a couple of layers. 33 degrees, hoodie, LS T shirt, light breeze, overcast day: Marginally adequate. I have a few hundred Carhartt Jackets and the Super Dux Active Jacket is in the Top 20 in my collection. The jacket feels pretty warm, looks very stylish and I really like the Griege color way. I bought a size larger in a Tall size. I'm very glad I did (3XL Tall). The jacket goes down to the top of my Carhartt Jeans front pocket. If I hadn't gotten a Tall size, I would have been disappointed with the jacket being too far above my waist. I'm 5'11", 52" chest, 40" waist, 239lbs. I can't speak to the durability yet, but I'll update this review, if there's any problems. I'll address a common complaint about the hood being to stiff or uncomfortable; I haven't noticed any issues so far. ... show more

I wish for such a primitive cut the price would be way more comprehensive, it is very expensive for not exclusive sewing work on this jacket. I bought another one before for my husband for hunt just because of the material but the price is enormous even for China made Carhartt.
