It was easy to install, though I would recommend two sets of hands so someone can hold the shade while the supports are screwed in. It looks great off and on - the light isn't super bright but is rather nice and warm and the brass is super pretty. I initially ordered two and one of the glass shades was over-frosted and looked dirty when turned on, and the company sent me a replacement super quickly and without hassle. Purchased this ceiling light for our master bedroom. We loved the low-profile and overall look. Sadly it was too small for the size of our bedroom, so didn't give out enough brightness for the entire room (14x16'). However, we loved it so much, we kept it for our guest bedroom (12x12') which was perfect. We purchased the same model in an 18" diameter for our bedroom which worked out great. Including the footage they light instead of the lumens would help in choosing the right size. It was easy to install so those having some working knowledge of electric fixtures will have no problems. I like this light but don't love. Almost need 2 people to Install. Not the easiest to put up and will be a bear everytime a bulb needs to be changed.

The top one is the original color. The bottom is the one which changed to a yellowish color. Both units have had identical light bulbs and on the same dimmer switch.
