  • Very Sturdy, Folds easily, Lightweight & Easy To Lift, Glides Quietly.
Bought this to replace my 10 year old Drive Rollator. I liked my old rollator but I’m very happy with this replacement. As with any device there are pros and cons when compared to my old Drive Rollator. PROS: Setup very easy, no tools required. Complaints about the wheels being attached where they do not belong is misleading. The wheels were simply placed into the frame to facilitate and protect during shipping. It takes about 30 seconds to push the release button, remove the wheels and attach them in the proper location as described in the instructions. I have back problems and I was able to unpack and setup the rollator in less than 20 minutes. I suggest you add cable ties to hold the brake cables in place so they don’t catch or snag on anything when you’re using the rollator. This rollator is as sturdy or sturdier than my old rollator but it’s also lighter and easier to lift into an auto to transport. I’m 5’8” and the height is adjustable to exactly what I need but if you are taller or shorter it can be adjusted quite a bit higher or lower. Very easy to transport in a vehicle because it can be collapsed and set up quickly and easily. Simply pull up on the handle in the seat and it folds up to transport. Partially collapse and it’s narrow enough to easily fit through smaller doorways. Passing through small doorways was virtually impossible with my old rollator because of the way it folded. Large rubber wheels allows the rollator to glide quietly over almost any surface. My old rollator had hard plastic type wheels which were quite noisy on hard surfaces. Brakes are much easier to use than my old rollator and worked great right out of the box without any adjustment. Both PRO & CON (minor differences): A bit longer (front to back) than the old drive which makes it a bit less maneuverable when walking but more stable when walking or sitting. The web seat and backrest are comfortable but I would prefer if the seat were an inch or two higher from the floor. I use a pad to increase the height which works fine for me. My old rollator had a bag under the seat which I used with an organizer to store frequently used items (Water Tumbler, Keys, Wallet, Phone, Fire 10 Tablet, etc.) The folding design of this rollator doesn’t allow for an under seat bag / organizer. The bag provided is OK when traveling and for papers but not that useful for organizing and storing other frequently used items when at home. I ordered a single 1/8 inch ABS plastic sheet from Amazon for about $15 and created my own storage unit which I attach and use in place of the bag that’s provided. By releasing just two rubber bands, I can switch between the bag and my organizer. CONS: I’ve used this rollator for a couple of months and I can honestly say I haven’t experienced any problems. I’m quite happy with this rollator and highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Perfect!
I’ve used several different rollators over the past few years due to leg and back issues. I had issues with all of them, either too heavy, difficult to fold up and transport, too flimsy and unstable. I took a chance on this one and I wasn’t disappointed. Lightweight, folds easily, easy to load with one hand, very stable. All for an affordable price! Very easy assembly with no tools needed. ... show more

  • The Rollator for Tall People
The Carex Crosstour Rolling Walker Rollator will let this six-footer stand up straight while walking. The handles rise high enough for maybe up to 6'3" depending on arm length. The front wheels are big enough to get over normal driveway cracks, tar-sealed slabs, finger-sized roots, and street to drive transitions. At the end of the rear wheels is a foot pedal that you can step on to help raise one front wheel at a time to get over obstacles. As with other similar rollators, you have to be careful not to put your fingers around the seat tubes when pushing down to extend and lock the sides. The seat pulls up easily with a handle to collapse and fold, and the rollator is steady on its wheels while folded. The stowage packet is good for books, writing pads, and smaller laptops and tablets, but I think it would be not so good for shopping, folded coats, large purses, or anything thicker that five inches. The packet is thinner, perhaps, to make folding more practical. I have found this rollator to be sufficiently steady for walking our small dog with me on the road side of the curb and him exploring as far as his leash will reach. It's best to stay on the roadway rather than putting the inside wheels in the curbing, as this causes the rollator to pull toward the curb. The seat, even with its retractor handle, is comfortable enough for resting. The handles feel to me like they are put on backwards left-to-right, but it's much too difficult if not impossible to get them off to see if they would offer more hand and wrist support on the other side, and they are not a problem, just strangely shaped. The safety reflectors are inadequate, but it's nothing some reflective tape won't solve. The brakes work fine, I just don't use them very much. I can get this rollator up our front door steps by lifting the front end one or two steps at a time. It's light enough not to hurt my bad back and arthritic knees. ... show more
