I removed the mechanical pump on my 327 small block Chevy. I put this under the frame. I installed this a year and it's functioning fine. This electric fuel pump which is low pressure to be used with a carburetor solves a lot of starting problems. Ditch the mechanical pump and Get this!!

The media could not be loaded. @weaverstonehousefarm on YouTube Pressure is 7psi on my gauge in the video. Even at full throttle on my IH 444 tractor it works fine. The bolt holes line up with the factory pump holes. It has a 5/16” smooth barb outlet connection for a rubber fuel line. It’s can’t be removed or replaced. I wish that outlet was threaded. There are other models with a threaded outlet. Inlet is threaded. Possibly 1/4” FPT. I got tired of every 3-4 years replacing the $60-80 dollar pump from NAPA. For the twenty something dollars it will work and looks similar. I tried this higher pressure pump as the 2-3 psi pumps would barely put out 2psi. Wiring was simple 12+volt DC positive and the ground wire to the bolt for the base. It comes with mounting bolts. We make hay and run our equipment in the worst and hottest parts of the summer so it’s expected that and electric fuel pump w/o any external cooling will eventually fail for us. It gets so hot sometimes when making hay the fuel will boil in the tank. ... show more

Mounted to a piece of wood and used as a transfer pump for a gas tank. Worked well pumping the fuel as long as the pickup hose didn’t go too high above the tank. I was also able to pump the water out from the bottom of the tank with this pump.

Unfortunately this electric pump did not perform for very long. It started out great, shooting diesel fuel out the hose end a foot or so. After hooking up to engine and running, the flow diminished to barely a trickle. After the company learned of this, they immediately reached out with suggestions to alleviate the issue, though that was unsuccessful. They ultimately issued a full refund for the product, expectantly, as I had not requested that. I will say the customer service and their attention in this matter has been superb and refreshing in today's age. Kudos to the CarBole company for standing behind their product and supporting their customers ! ... show more
